NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Yet Another Industry Ditching Greasy Gavin’s California for a Free State

The Oakland Raiders now play in Las Vegas—the players get a real bonus—NO income tax on their salaries!! That means they get an extra 13% in their paycheck and the club does not have to pay an extra dime. Now it looks like the Oakland Athletics will be joining them—with the same bonus ofr the players. Actually, if I were the A’s, I would leave as soon as possible. Not because of the money—but for the safety of the players and fans. Oakland is a war zone.

for the Athletics, it is more about the piss poor home attendance than anything else.
We will adapt.

With an economy larger than many countries... Cali will find a way.
decimated middle class, more homeless
as IHO mentioned we'll be fine.
bloomberg-graph1.png
with big tech stocks 30%+ off from all time highs, and announcement of layoffs or hiring freeze, the blue curve may show some decline...

The states budget is about to be sunk by a perfect storm. No more federal money, capital gains tax revenue will disappear, massive spending programs that aren’t about to get cut, and an ongoing recession that will combine to choke off revenue to the beast, but don’t expect spending to skip a beat. They are going to miss all those big corporate taxpayers very soon.

like Eye before you, you read me all wrong. I’m here because I want to be and fortunately for me I can afford to be. I love this place and loathe what it has become. In my opinion, the ship will right itself naturally as seems to be happening elsewhere in this country. I’ll remain here hoping that someday these things can be fixed.
How did i read you wrong, you just said you love this place and loathe what it has become, so... you loathe this place now?
I can only go by what you post, fear post here fear post there, mostly pessimism. Admins should probably set up a section just for you:
Auto: Nay to EV's, all about the oil
Real estate: Cali sucks
Finance: (probably only thing worth while), but of course, something has to be negative, let's bash on bitcoin, or green initiatives
Entertainment: all the youtube clips
Health/Fitness: antivax
Science: what climate change
Politics: l o l

And the funny thing is, you don't even live in irvine considering the site 🤷‍♂️

Moretroll is basically just trolling. He bashes Cali and loves Texas so much, but wouldn't leave Cali for Texas. Strange, huh?

Speaking of Toyota leaving.

The old Toyota office site located in Torrance is now complete demolished.

Speaking of end of an era. Wonder what company and stores will take over there.

I did live in Irvine at one time ( check IHB)…again, i look forward to the day all those things return to sanity…they will…the country is turning the corner tuesday…California will too eventually…it’s inevitable…sooner or later we become realistic about unicorns and rainbows…I am a patient man.

People are voting with their feet -- California, New York, and Illinois are all losing people, while Texas and Florida surge.

California’s population shrinks for third straight year as high costs stress households

Births outnumber deaths in California, and yet the U.S. Census Bureau says the population shrank again as more than 300,000 people moved out of the Golden State. The federal agency released these new numbers Thursday showing a third consecutive year of decline.

In 2020, California’s population contracted for the first time in state history, a drop that contributed to the state losing a seat in the House of Representatives.

Bahahahaha!!!
California Gov. Gavin Newsom triggered a whirlwind of intense mockery this weekend when he dared to claim that his left-wing “utopia” of a state is “the true freedom state.”

“California is the true freedom state. Protecting liberty from a rising tide of oppression taking root in statehouses. Weakness, masquerading as strength. Small men in big offices. Freedom is who we are – anyone from anywhere can accomplish anything here,” he obliviously tweeted.

This is what happens when you let the children run the economy using Quicken books and turbo tax….The Boy Kings Chickens have come home to roost….

Gavin Newsom proposes climate change cuts to alleviate $22.5 billion budget deficit

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) announced a plan to reduce climate change programs to combat a projected $22.5 billion budget deficit.

Newson announced the 2023-24 state budget on Tuesday, stating that he had plans to delay funding and reduce investments in areas such as zero-emission vehicles, climate change programs, and child care slots, among others.

Last summer, Newsom believed there would be a $100 billion budget surplus for this year, according to the Los Angeles Times. Now, the state is expecting a $22.5 billion deficit. To alleviate the financial strain this will cause in several programs, funds will be reallocated to other areas.

Lovely, so we go from a $100B surplus to a $22.5B deficit. Maybe sending those "stimulus" checks in the past few years wasn't a hot a idea. Only the Federal gov't is better as lighting money on fire due to wasteful spending.

That hurts… and with them goes their income and tax revenue. Who is the boy King going to tax now? …Racing NY to the bottom…🤦🏽‍♂️😢😢
