So Laguna Altura is not getting Uni?

still subject to change I believe.  I think some concerned LA parents went to the meeting to talk about it.

The link is not up to date. LA is still Uni bound. after 800 petitions IUSD changed the boundary again.

they will continue to update boundaries once more homes get built out.. then eventually again for HS 6.

This whole process will be very interesting to watch.  Can't wait for High School #6.

School boundaries completely drive the real estate market in Irvine.  SVUSD is not a bad district.  I'm just not a fan of El Toro High, I petitioned myself out of El Toro to go to another SVUSD high school.  It has made all the difference.

will it be that interesting?  ;)

j/k

i want to see what retail shops they will be opening at the GP locations.  Need some more dining options.

I'd really like some additional department stores because nearby Irvine Spectrum only has two anchor stores which is quite unlike any other mall. Plus, they are lame to boot. Nordstrom has limited selection. Macy's has good selection but is aging just terribly! What a shame. They should be the gems of Irvine Spectrum. Instead, Macy's is a boil on the butt of the Spectrum.

very true.. it's a lame version of the South coast stores.  However, I just dont see them putting those type of stores over on Sand Canyon.. probably be small shopping center type stuff.

TIC is trying to make the Spectrum a food and entertain center rather than shopping ala South Coast (which has terrible food options).  They started putting in a lot of different restaurants and the movie theater is clearly a big draw.  I think the idea is that it's supposed to be a lot more family friendly.

I do wish that there was a Target in the Sand Canyon area...closest one is in the Spectrum (which can be annoying to drive to) or Jamboree.

It is but lots of lights...especially on weekends.  I actually end up going to one in the District quite a lot because its on the way home.

Target on Jamboree is still more convenient to go to.. but also not "close".  Would be nice to get one off Sand Canyon I agree.
