Note to self: Request plastic utensils and paper plates when eating at acpme's home.

Add some color dye into it and return it to the store for refund.

Because Korean's stainless steel bowls and Japanese plastic miso soup bowls are not dishwasher safe.

Momo's dishwashing liquid after 6 years is still brand new but he is on his 6th camera.

[quote author="freedomCM" date=1241769819][quote author="roundcorners" date=1241768177]Yeah my eyes hurt! Just so you know, for those renting from IAC; you can cancel your Renter's Insurance; it's a jip! Just say you found another carrier. Picking bar stools is tricky, be sure to measure the height from the floor to the seat. I'm taller, so I have to slouch on most stools. Just so you know, and BK can confirm this; about 99% of all Chinese don?t use the dish washer; well maybe more now for the Gen-Xers; some exterior designs like Cortile in Woodbury have bars on their windows! And? we disable our security system?s door chime, it?s too loud?</blockquote>

huh on the renter's insurance. mine is under $200/yr for $60k of replacement coverage, plus liability. seems not a "jip" (actually spelled "gyp", short for gypsy, and now seen as a slur) for the coverage you get.</blockquote>

Thanks for clarifying gyp, didn?t know that. So you spend $200 a year on renter?s insurance? At the current 1.5% you earn on your MMA, you need $13,350. Every penny helps in a recession; give me $13,350 and I?ll pay your the insurance for you. Has anyone here ever needed to submit a claim for lost or stolen items? I doubt you get any reimbursement anyways. I have an confession, I usually don?t lock my car while running errands around Irvine (groceries, gas, food, haircut, etc?); I lost count of the numbers of times we forgot to close the garage door or lock the front door all night.

The last time I was in Asia, they are starting to use a dish drying unit; the few ones I saw hung over the sink. Can't seem to find a pic or link, sorry...

How many windows to you have?

We have 6; pretty good for a 1-bd; along with the slider?

Do you know how to program your A/C & Heater?

Never could figure it out.

Do you like outdoor carpeting?

Actually yes, forget BK?s ideal percentages; we plan on making use of every square footage, inside and outside! And yes, I?ll vacuum the side-yard.

Do you have outdoor seating/sectional/furniture?

So yes, I plan on living outside as much as inside.

Do you like landscaping or just concrete?

Same answer as above; concrete/carpet; we?ll use potted plants, trees and flowers.

Do you own a BBQ grill?

No, but I?m eyeing the one at Costco, the L shape with the fridge?

How often do you have guests over?

Almost weekly?

Do you still have a land line?

No, not anymore?

How many steps is it from your house to your car?

32

Do you have an eat-in kitchen?

Now we do; and we love it.

Which is your favorite room in the house?

The Kitchen, if can?t tell by now?

Yes, when I was in NYC, I had a $4k bike stolen, and got $3500 after my deductible.

So if I lend you $13k for a year, you will return it in one year (with a guarantee akin to FDIC), and you will insure replacement coverage for $75k worth of household goods should my little rented house burn down, flood, or get burgled? plus provide me with $500k liability insurance should someone get injured at my place or my bbq catches the next house on fire?

I completely wash all of my dishes by hand, and then load them into the dishwasher to be washed again. Pots, pans, wine glasses, nice knives and other items cannot be placed in the dishwasher to air-dry because the dishwasher is usually filled with newly loaded dishes to be washed for a second time. The air-dry items are soaked if necessary, washed, and placed on fresh towels to air-dry. If I have many hand-washed items, such as if I've cooked a large meal for many people (e.g., holiday), then I hand-dry with a towel. When I air-dry on a towel, I turn the items after about 15 minutes to make sure that each side drys. Sometimes, there's a little towel patting that needs to be done before I put the air-dry items away.

And older Asian women from work told us one day that she uses the dishwasher to dry the dishes...she didn't actually used the machine, but only let them dry.

She also had a washer and dryer, but never leaner how to use it so she was doing her own laundry. Is that common too?

Only the ones that aren't upgraded. ;)</blockquote>

Actually this guy had upgraded the turbos, exhaust and a few other things. Turth be told, I kept ahead till about 160... after that i'm outta gear in 4th and pretty much hit an aero wall. Till then i'm pulling on him and actually pulling ahead. From a 2nd to 3rd, i pull on him and pass him pretty hard. I was also suprised I could match him turn for turn (then again, my car is HEAVILY modded, his car is moderately modded....) Cost difference? Well his mods costs about as much as I have in my car completely.

good luck
