There is always the turning point......the point where a home owner(debter) decides to cut losses and move on. This will take years in the housing market because for so long housing was the "goose that laid the golden egg". I suggest "who move my cheese" for people that need the inspiration to move on.
 
I do have a friend in AZ that owns a house and his company transfered him out of state. If he lowered the price, he would have to write a check at closing for $20k. He doesn't have $20k, so the house sits on the market. He can easily afford the monthly payments and maintenance costs for the house - he just doesn't have the money to write a check at closing.

Blue - You seemed to think Prof was throwing stones. I wanted you to be able to see for yourself that she was not and that her posts excerpting articles cover a variety of housing related issues.

This is why I'm not sad about leaving Irvine. I only wish and long to return to jolly old England. Where people are real, and say what they mean, and mean what they say. Tired of the BS Irvine Clan. Turning 40 at the end of the year.(so please excuse my bitterness) If I could only bend some ears on the life I've lived as of yet. I think you may stray from the IHB, and find comfort, and realize you too have spent an enormous amount of wasted time here.
