[quote author="gwailo168" date=1215588884]Ohh mustangs, they are like rotaries... so much noise and so little _______
Im not really in to domestic cars but I do really like the supercharged Cobra that came with "390hp"
I still would not mind having a 1991 NSX. For a 17 year old car it still is very nice looking (on the outside)</blockquote>
It depends, in my circle they have a saying..."Fox bodies are either very slow... or very, very fast).
I chose this platform, because you can modify it to whatever you like. Parts are abundant and cheap (cheap being you won't pay $5000 for a front brake set - I only plaid 2100 for a full on race brake set which included everthing from brake booster to the brake pad (about 40-50 parts). But after a while you start getting into the expensive to obtain high hp and reliability.
Like most 302 motors dont really like to go above 600hp. After nuking 2 motors, I finally had to upgrade to a full race prepped, high nickle content, thickwalled DART block (with fully forged rotating assembly). Essentially a block that can support close to 2000! hp (I'm somwhere at 650hp with country crossing reliability). Then the transmission breaks and you need an upgraded version, then the cooling system, then ignition, then tires, then brakes, then body, then etc. etc. etc. etc. BUT the main thing is I can get parts for it. Some cars, not so much, some cars, not at all.
But bashing a car because of make and model? Well lets just say I like sleepers. Don't make me get my old 1988 Hyundai Excel... with a 400 wheel hp Evolution engine (in a 1900 lb car).
Anyways good luck
