Why does every plaza that turns Asian evolve into a parking nightmare?  Is it 2 many Asians and not enough Asian oriented retail?

sounds so racist.  :)

This is an actual point of discussion.
Mitsuwa Plaza - hard to park
Culver 99 - hard to park
Diamond Jamboree - hard to park
Jeffery 99 - hard to park
Taiko Plaza - hard to park

and it's getting worse.  Probably because more houses = more Asians = shitty parking in Asian plazas.  Although I have to say that food court by G-Burger and 302 is easy to park.  Maybe cause Taps isn't open yet and it hasn't reached the Asian event horizon.

Spectrum - hard to park
District - hard to park
University Center (Trader Joe's) - hard to park
University Park (Wholesome Choice) - hard to park
Walnut Village - hard to park
IVC - hard to park
Costco Irvine - hard to park

It's not an Asian problem, it's an Irvine problem.  Racist.

Never really found Mitsuwa or Spectrum hard to park (outside of Friday and Sat nights).

But yes.. the asian plaza's are always busy.

All of Irvine has crappy parking due to so many people living here.  However, the asian plazas are much worse then others.  Irvine will get more asian plazas as that's what the people want.  The parking situation shows the need for more asian commercial zones.  We need moar korean BBqs.

I'd say that bad layout is No.1. There are very few dedicated crossing points between parking lot and shops. Hence the many jaywalkers.

No.2, have you seen the way Asian female drivers drive and the way they do drop-offs in the middle of the road?

Not just Asian females, just females in general.  Today, a non-asian real estate agent decided it was a good idea to stop her Mercedes IN the roundabout while she struggled to tap her open house sign into the ground.

Ugly pie co is open in OH, as well as Taps in Marketplace.
"UGLY Pie"? So you did open your pizza franchise?

Just kidding.

But that's a horrible name. Next BuildYourOwnPizza place is going to be called Crappy Pie.

Believe no liquor license yet for ugly pie so no pizza and beer yet

We tried TAPS and it was not a good experience. It took over an hour for the kids meals (pizza and sliders). Or should I say "meal" (singular) since after the long wait they managed to lose our son's pizza order. When my wife checked the sliders, they were undercooked with lots of pink in the middle. How do you undercook a kid's slider? They were busy but it is no excuse for losing an order and not cooking a kids meal properly. The rest of the dishes were underwhelming especially for the prices they charge.

Whenever I see those who do the curb-side drop off(for no apparently reason like dropping off an elderly) always feel the urge to just honk at them a good 10 secs.  This happens especially often in the 99 ranch plaza.  So annoying.  >:(

Tried Ugly Pie.  It reminds me of Pielogy (crust, size, taste) but everything at Ugly Pie was more expensive ($1-4 per pie depending on which one).  Got the very cheesy ($7) and the Arugula/proscuitto ($11.95 I think).  The latter probably wasn't worth it.
