I like La Sirena for the same reason I like Roma D'Italia... They have Sculpin IPA on tap.
Sculpin is great beer but available on draft everywhere.  I'll be impressed if they get Alpine or Russian River on tap.

Everywhere? Notsomuch...

I'm familiar with taphunter.  Great app.  Not discounting Sculpin, it's just not that hard to find in draft or bottles.  I see it at First Class Pizza at Woodbury all the time.  But, when I'm looking at Tap lists, I like seeing more than the usual El Segundo, Ballast Point, Firestone Walker stuff.  Just the beer snob in me.

What is your best Mexican in Irvine then? This question may be a oxymoron.

i cant believe you had to ask. the best mexican is in Tustin - Columbus Square, serving extra large chorizo :-)

i like Supermex on Culver/Walnut next to the ralphs. but i only get two things there. the shredded beef burrito and the flautas (which are also shredded beef). they have good shredded beef. not a fan of their carne asada.  their salsa is excellent though.

Was getting donuts at Donut Star this morning and it looks like MooYah (a burger/fries/shakes place) is opening in the old Bagel City location (and Donut Star now smartly serves bagels and bagel sandwiches):

Pizza:90 is opening in the old Z-Pizza location, I assume it's one of those fast bake build your own pizza places like Blaze, Mod and Pieology.

Got an email that the CPK on Michelson closed yesterday.

Last time I was there, they were looking for a space to move to but maybe not.

All the Build Your Own pizza places probably killed their business (why pay $15 when you can pay $7.50?).

I'm out of the loop. Where did Bones a.k.a. WTTCMN a.k.a. "..." go? All her posts have been scrubbed. Did something popcorn-worthy happen??

There's a Flippin Pizza location near Soylent Yellow's high school that's - according to her - "rated A... for Avoid".

Curious what the Irvine location is like though as it's not far from my route home.

Caffe Bene is coming to Heritage Plaza's old Seattle's Best Coffee spot. Should be good.

I actually inquired about this franchise and their franchise fees, start up cost are ridiculous.

bleh!
