In late October, Jared Kushner made an unannounced trip to Riyadh, catching some intelligence officials off guard. ?The two princes are said to have stayed up until nearly 4 a.m. several nights, swapping stories and planning strategy,? the Washington Post?s David Ignatius reported at the time.

What exactly Kushner and the Saudi royal talked about in Riyadh may be known only to them, but after the meeting, Crown Prince Mohammed told confidants that Kushner had discussed the names of Saudis disloyal to the crown prince, according to three sources who have been in contact with members of the Saudi and Emirati royal families since the crackdown. Kushner, through his attorney?s spokesperson, denies having done so.

On November 4, a week after Kushner returned to the U.S., the crown prince, known in official Washington by his initials MBS, launched what he called an anti-corruption crackdown. The Saudi government arrested dozens of members of the Saudi royal family and imprisoned them in the Ritz-Carlton Riyadh, which was first reported in English by The Intercept. The Saudi figures named in the President?s Daily Brief were among those rounded up; at least one was reportedly tortured.

You are myopic if you don't think this is a good thing.

Good thing for whom?

Even if it is...not sure why Kushner is the one doing the trading considering he did not even qualify top secret clearance.

A Saudi Arabia that moderates away from Islamic fundamentalism is good for the world, including the United States.  They have recently done a lot to help us root out ISIS and other extremists in the Middle East, including the boycott of Qatar.  They have loosened restrictions on women driving, along with other aspects of the "male guardian" system.  We also need their help to counterbalance the growing influence of Iran.  They could also play a positive role in bringing peace to Palestine/Israel, although that is still a long shot.

They also started a massive war in Yemen that is wrecking the country.

Moderate is also a subjective term.  Cracking down on dissent and torture are not the hallmarks of a "moderate"

Trump was an out right liar before he ever came into politics. Guess what, politics will make him an even bigger liar. You will see.

So what is his real motives for taking on the presidency that he accept nothing for in monetary, in this case $1 dollar salary. Wow, he is so gracious.

Crooked Hillary has a decades-long head start in politics/lying/cheating.

You want to talk "gracious," Cowboy, how "gracious" were Hillary and the Rapist with their "Charitable Foundation," collecting $140,000,000 in 2014, and paying out a pittance of around $5,000,000 to charities.  The rest went to their daughter and crooked cronies.

Let's see, this thread I spoke about was in November 2016. That's a year and a half ago before he was not even president, yet. WTF are you defending, he is not crooked or an outright liar. Last I check, even two days ago, he still denied Russia no collusion "phony Russia investigation where, by the way, there was NO COLLUSION." said Trump.

How embarrassing is that?

Yup he still is a liar. Now I am not saying Hillary is saint, have I? Go dig up some more and come back.

After a year and a half of incompetent Mueller's investigation, there is ZERO evidence of your "Russia collusion."  Zero.  You Leftists have lost it.

Where was the collusion?  Russian trolls bought some FB ads and probably did some hacking, but there's nothing tying that to Trump.

Amen, Brother.  And just yesterday, Congress issued a criminal referral on Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, and Joel McCabe.  Pass the popcorn!  This is gonna be special, you betcha.  The DNC should be prosecuted under the RICO Act.
What a bunch of crooks.  They haven't been this angry since we took away their slaves in the 1860's.  Now they're recruiting them illegally from Mexico, Central America, and the far east.

This new kid on our high school block  looks really desperate to earn some street cred with our local  MAGAsphere

Looks like he (or she) is copying and pasting straight from some of the Twitter feeds originating from gateway pundit etc .

Throwing too many goodies in quickly and haphazardly all at once as opposed to spacing them out nicely like some of the others  do (which appears more thoughtful).

Eyephone , I will leave it to you to school him :)

He has not responded to my comment.  ;)

Well...I mean why bother hiding it.

WASHINGTON ? Mick Mulvaney, the interim director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, told banking industry executives and lobbyists on Tuesday that they should increase their campaign donations to influence lawmakers, revealing that he would meet only with lobbyists who contributed to his campaign when he served in the House.

?We had a hierarchy in my office in Congress,? Mr. Mulvaney, a former Republican lawmaker from South Carolina, told 1,300 bankers and lobbyists at an American Bankers Association conference in Washington. ?If you?re a lobbyist who never gave us money, I didn?t talk to you. If you?re a lobbyist who gave us money, I might talk to you.

Such moves include shutting off public access to the bureau?s online database of consumer complaints, which the agency had used to help guide its investigations and enforcement actions.

?I don?t see anything in here that says I have to run a Yelp for financial services sponsored by the federal government,? he said, suggesting the posting of suspected misdeeds by lenders was comparable to bad reviews on the popular online review site.

AND MORE OF THE BEST PEOPLE!

President Trump's pick to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs was in the spotlight Tuesday as allegations of workplace misconduct swirled, and the president opened the door to his nominee's withdrawal.

"Staffers on the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee are looking into charges Adm. Ronny Jackson created a hostile work environment, excessively drank on the job and improperly dispensed medications.

Funny thing is ? Trumps middle class supporters will gladly take getting openly screwed by someone like mulvaney if it helps satisfy their lust for  ?take that,  :)liberals ? .  That?s all you need to know .

Muslims killing Muslims.  Hmmm.  Must be Israel's fault.  Or Donald Trump's, right?
Oh wait, I know.  It's all on account of climate change.
Over the past several centuries, Muslims have murdered well over 100,000,000 Muslims and Infidels.  No end in sight.  If Muslims have to murder, why not other Muslims?  Keep it in their own neighborhood.

I've actually been screwed by the CFPB multiple times, so I'm glad to see it being dismantled at Mulvaney's hands.

The best was when Elizabeth Warren realized the unaccountable structure that she personally set up for the CFPB made it impossible for her to do anything about it.  For being a Harvard professor, she's not very smart.  This is why affirmative action doesn't work.  She got her job by being Injun, not for any brilliance on her part.

Well, this is what happens when you nominate holdovers from the Dubya/Obama administrations.  They aren't quality people.

Still, Irvinecommuter has probably made similar posts to this about a 100 times now, and yet how many nominees have failed to be confirmed?  Not only that, but Trump keeps winning and Irvinecommuter's ilk keep losing.  I think that's what frustrates liberals the most - knowing they lost and continue to lose to people they regard as lower than them.
