Are my eyes playing tricks on me or am I really seeing 4x4" white tiles in the kitchen?!  :o

usually don't see it in homes built > 2000 and this price range,
i love the old school throwback tv on page 35, kids will wonder wtf is that... and why is there a built in to accommodate that thing, and that's when you tell them stories of "you kids have it easy, back in the old days..."

I've noticed that tube TV's are very common in very expensive houses.  I guess that they either don't watch much TV or are very old.

I mean, seriously, look at this @$$hole-
https://www.redfin.com/CA/Irvine/58-Livia-92618/home/45378806

Date        Event                  Price
Jan 17, 2017 Listed (Active)            $1,849,000
Jun 25, 2013 Sold (Public Records)  $1,198,500

Trying to make over a 60% return, or 20% YoY. Meanwhile, in the same zipcode, market rents have only gone up about 3-4% YoY, it's insanity.

Those tiles and the backyard hardscaping are not very appealing.

Sold for 1.8 million, just a few thousand short of asking!  Looks like the seller got a 60% return!

Interestingly, the buyer was represented by Ronnie Hackett.  I wonder how he convinced the fool into overpaying.  Maybe it's all his junky signs littering LA.

Here's a WTF garage with $1M+ in cars (4 car tandem):https://www.redfin.com/CA/Irvine/2-Mansfield-Dr-92620/home/4788828

USC, eat your heart out :)

SIGH....I'm too poor for that home.  Cool cars in the garage though....maybe they are included in the price of the home.  :D

I'm curious as to what cars are behind the red Ferrari.

The SUV looks like it's Mercedes G-wagon, probably G63 AMG.  Not sure the one between the G63 and Ferrari 458.

This home is still on the market and for almost a year now.

But looks like the owner also got himself a red Lambo open top.  See pic #12.

Love the cars but hate the house.  It feels like it would be too cold and depressing in there for some reason.

First of all, it is very overpriced at $553/sq ft.  Homes there are closer to $450-500/sq ft. which would put it in the $2.34M-$2.6M range, not $2.9M. Also the finishes are dated and cheap-looking; the hardwood (laminate?) flooring in the family room juxtaposed to the tile in the kitchen looks really odd, especially with the slant. Also the home is very cluttered and busy. But the obvious answer is it is overpriced by at least $300k.

The first sentence in the description is weird:
"This house either come furnished for $5500 or unfurnished for $4800".  I guess they put the rental price in the MLS description?

And another great selling point:
"Also a big lot on the 2nd floor."
Never seen the lot moved to the 2nd floor.  That's pretty unique.

As great as this listing description was, I just had to find another by the same agent and check it out, comedy this good is a gift not to be taken for granted.

So, I searched and found this listing:https://www.redfin.com/CA/Mission-Viejo/23221-Cobblefield-92692/home/5049864

And sure enough, some great material such as:
"this hoe is in a gated community with 24 hr attendant."

Last but not least, he says "Thank You" at the end of the listing.  Probably tried to use a smile emoji as well but MLS removed it.

Boy, that is some good stuff right there.  haha

we're all knocking it but the home sold eventually!

all it took was a 165k price reduction and 4 months on the market. easy peasy.

Yup, when all they had to do from the beginning was price it about $150k lower and it would have gone into escrow in weeks...guess they just wanted to take the long way to get to the same conclusion.  haha
