So an extra foot over your head makes up for a 3000 sq ft home on a 3000 sq ft lot?  Nice!  So if they give us 11 ft ceilings, we'll have 6 inch setbacks?
I think we'll get there in our lifetime the way IP is going.  I wonder what the resale value of these homes with no yards with be in 10-15 years from today once the new home smell has long gone.

It will probably come down to schools and community.  I know someone that just bought a 1M townhome over at the turtles.  No backyard.. just a patio.

Heh... you made me look at the listing photos. You don't like this view?

The backyard is almost claustrophobic:

But yes, some people like smaller lots.

Damn, Irvine Pacific homes' backyards are getting smaller and smaller with every new development. What a joke!

This backyard is even smaller because the owner opted for the conservatory which expands into your backyard space. If you opt to not get it then your backyard isn't as tight as this one. Most FCBs would rather add square footage to their home then be in the backyard getting some sun.

People that complain about yards don't understand land value.  Come check out homes along the Newport coast.  4 stories and no yard.

Test, read that sentence back to yourself a few times and tell me it makes any sense.

You're right, I meant Newport coastline vs Newport Coast.  And since someone already made the comparison, it's like CV vs PP.

I'm guessin the 5 freeway is like the coast line.

SAILING.. TAKES ME AWAYYYYYY.

So Cypress Village is like coastal property?

test must have wrote the marketing for Laguna Altura and their "coastal canyon" claims.

All this time I made the excuse that living next to the freeway was like living next to the ocean... and now it's true.

This plan 2 have the optional conservatory with the California room, the only plan 2 with this option that I'm aware of.  The California room take away square footage from the already not so big back yard and the picture also make the backyard look even smaller then it actually is.  Mulberry's back yard are 10 feet deep but 65 feet wide.  The distant between that french door and the spot where the picture taker was standing is about 35 feet.

Well, you put a home that's almost 3,000sf on a 3,000sf lot....you are bound to either see your neighbors or brick walls.

They should have an upgrade.

Graffiti artist can come in and paint rainbows or tress on your brick wall.

You know what, HOA actually allow owner to paint the interior of brick wall.  I always wonder why HOA allow this but paint some greens on the wall does sound pretty good.  I'm going to pitch this idea to my FCB neighbor. :)

It is actually great idea., have kids paint on the wall, instead of driveway...

Did you guys hear the helicopters this morning? There were two fatalities on the 5 freeway at the Culver ext. I saw 4 helicopters, one super close to our community. Those chopper blades are loud! Add that to the train that blares its horn at all hours of the night!
