I love Duterte, I actually know him.  My family, from Osmena to Guingona have been politically powerful there for many years.  Duterte is good for that country, He really does have a 80-90% approval rating there. He is the Trump of Asia.

Speaking of investments, I think our equity markets dropping isn't too big a deal for the mid-terms. The only consequence might be removing one braggadocios talking point for Trump. The vast majority of folks have little to nothing in equity investments. Those who do, have most of it in retirement vehicles. So it's a long-term play unaffected by monthly blips.

You're probably in the top 5% of earning/wealth households if you have significant amounts in non-retirement equities, such that the current decline is something that concerns you, slightly.

I?m not going to let you go easy.
So tax cut 1 was mostly for corporate and top earners.
So I was right. The middle class got screwed.

Also the deficit soared because of tax cut 1. Basically leave the crap for the future generations.

Quit judging things on how it affects the people in your immediate vicinity.  There is more to this country than just Cali.  Just cause you lost your SALT deduction doesn't mean the guy in Nevada didn't get a cut.  Deficits will rise and fall,  This one will shrink eventually,  Obama used to brag he cut deficits when it really fell because the economy was in recession.
