Is mask as effective as you are led to believe?
2019. No misinformation here. A lot of scientific researches before COVID, as recent as 2019, don't fit the current Covid narrative. Does science change or politics get involved? Just like they redefined vaccine for the current leaky, not as effective (vs traditional def of vaccine like Polio) 1st generation Covid vaccine.

Science doesn't really change... our perception, experience or knowledge of it does.

Was the earth flat? Did the sun revolve around the earth?

Nature, on the other hand, does change (did you watch Loki yet?)... so we use science to accommodate for that.

Some people never change... and that could be the bigger problem.

The telltale on that is the low adherence to use numbers.  if under 70% are saying always (and let's be honest, pre-2019, always  was likely 'often').

It's also primarily flu-based illnesses, the study publish date is 2019 which is before covid even hit.  Pre-2020, many medical staff were largely cavalier about the flu.

Overall, JIMHO, the best mask will the be the highest filtration one that fits you, you wear and don't fidget with.

There was barely a mask in the stands at the Championship.  Nor were many present at the Wildcard game.

Honestly wish someone in the box would release video showing no mask all the time.

I?m a mask proponent, but stupid policy is stupid policy like wearing the mask until you get to your table at a restaurant.

It's funny how people are so anti-mask (and anti-vax) except when it's something they want or need to do.

Or is morekaos going to admit to some viral incident where he vehemently refused to wear a mask because it hurt his feelings?

You always take this on a Micro level... I always have looked at it on a Macro level...from 30,000 feet the masses are over this.  Easy to admit in a small crowd  but on the macro level..not so much.  This mass of 100,000 will (for the most part) not wear masks.  Just human nature, that's all.  I find it amusing. (on a micro level)

Nope, have one around my neck for show but it never goes on.  No one in my building has worn one for maybe 5 months now. My Micro level (which I have had for a long time) is now the Macro level.

If your micro were true, all businesses would be wide open, indoor events would not require testing or masks. OSHA would not have Covid safety requirements.

I shared a scientific research dated before COVID, that in reality N95 does not offer more protection than regular surgical mask.
Of course IHO will ignore that since it goes against the narrative: mask helps, so better masks helps more. But if research shows better masks does not help more, mask doesn't really help? Simple logic 101 being taught at schools.

Who said I wasn?t vaccinated? I do have immunity one way or another as I have had delta so vaccinated or not I?m good.
