On a cursory look I find only one unit out of around 14 for sale that is underwater. The last 6 months of sales shows alot going out at a profit. Not bad for that section of LB

Troop, your boy is officially underwater after trying to keep his head dry for 95 days, he sank under the waves and dropped is price bellow what he paid you. Still at $679 a square foot don't ya think it is still a bit pricey?

http://www.redfin.com/CA/Long-Beach/850-E-Ocean-Blvd-90802/unit-1110/home/7611767

Troop, how much longer can this guy hold on? Empty place, embarrassingly overpriced, and piling up HOA, mortgage and tax expenses?

Some people love the pain but sooner or later he will fold.

[quote author="morekaos" date=1222997608]What exactly goes through a Realtards mind when they look at the credit market the way it is, medians dropping and they are stuck with this POS bank owned shack without a bite for over 218 days and suddenly they have this John Travolta "Phenomenon" epiphany that raising the price might actually work....WTF

The $361 per sq.ft. is about the 2002 price. According to propertyshark, the 2002 SFR price for 90803 was $368/sq.ft.

Of course, in 2001 the price was $300/sq.ft.

No, that can't be right. How did this Lido Island home get into the Naples listings? Wait, that is on Naples, but that price of $6.5 million MUST be a misprint. They meant $1.5 mil and just hit the key 6 over by accident. Yah, that must be it, who would have the absolute stones to ask $1282.00 a square foot in one of the worst real estate markets in history? Not this guy. I will call Kieth Muirhead and tell him he needs to update his MLS. I'm sure it it will all be cleared up by this afternoon.

That is what I was thinking, but I do not know that I would call it open water. Low tide is a lot lower in the canal.

But, anyways, $6.5 mil? Huh?

Wow, life just gets better and better for this poor angler. Not only did he slash his price to get a bite but his fish threw the hook and now he sits seven months latter trying to troll another bait. Only a storm has formed and is swamping his boat. What do you do? Fish or swim? Drowning is a real possibility now.

You know I am in a nostalgic mood lately so I took a gander at this old listing...OH MY GOD!!! $1,350,000 in 2007. Went to the bank at at $655,000 in August of 2008 and sold in November of 2008 for (drum roll please) $515,000.00 dollars. A Stunning 62% loss in a year and some change. That is the very definition of COLLAPSE!!!
