They did it all wrong...the price should have been changed to $888,888 not $874,888.  Now they'll never sell it.  haha
 
Builders at one point in time had clauses in their sales contracts that forbade you from cashing out within 1-2 years unless you sold the home back to the builder first. This practice was put into place so as to not have a 1st phase buyer competing against closing phase homes 2 years down the road.

Any idea if there was such a clause in any Irvine Company projects?

I remember that.

I do believe prior to 2010 some TIC hoods used to have a 1-year no sale clause.

I just don't know how they can legally enforce it unless it's limited income housing.
