we redid our countertops in the master with prefab quartz. 800 for each vanity for materials and labor. it looks so much nicer.
What was there before? Only 1%ers redo their counters on a new home they just bought less than 5 years ago.

Yea but at $800, even 99%ers can afford it :)
Qwerty- does that price include any splash? 6 inches?

I think Qwerty got a decent deal.

@IHO - we had the builder grade crushed marble with resin, can't remember the name to save my life. But scratched easily.

@ bones - yes it came with a 6 inch back splash. We got the material at msi in Orange. They only sell to contractors. So u go pick the stone and they sell it to your contractor.  The work can be done in a day. Two tops. Our vanities are 6' x 2'. The 800 is the all in price.  Did a very good job on the counters. If anyone wants their info Send me a PM

My contractor said their slab guy has some spare white Quartz leftover from other projects, maybe I'll just throw those on in the smaller bathrooms.  I think I just pay install, wonder if the seams will be too visible if its scraps.

The slab is about 10ft. So if they use 6 for a master, you can use the rest for smaller bathrooms. Or you can buy one slab and do three smaller vanities.

I think that's called eStone (or others call it "cultured marble") but I thought it was very similar to quartz.

Since you say it scratched easily, it may not be the same.

You need to provide pictures or it's not true.
