Redfin's comps indicate it's worth over $900,000, so, yeah, it has more than doubled in value. It's not worth almost triple, though, unless the water view is worth that much of a premium. As for the street, it is a four laner with a median, but if you do a 360 in Google's street view, you literally can't see another car on the street, so it can't be THAT busy.



I also think they got quite a deal in 2004, considering it sold for more than two thirds that 15 years earlier. Maybe it was a fixer at the time.

If you have lived or even visited that area you would easily notice how busy that street is.

During morning and evening rush hour that is the main street many people in that neighborhood use to get to the freeway. Its an alternative to using Newport Blvd.

On weekends its a constant flow of cars down there.
 
I ride my bike right past there on the way to work. Pretty constant traffic between 7a and 10a, then again after school until 9pm. And motorcycles and sports cars racing around the curves through there. That stretch of road is actually a hill, too, so you get some nice lower-gear action from the trucks. That is also the area where the high school kids wrapped their car a few years ago. plenty of accidents there, but this location is probably out of the line of fire.



And to leave your driveway, you may have to wait a bit for a break in the traffic. If you want to go North/East, you will have to go down a couple of blocks and make a U-turn.



That said, the view is great.

I knew you were one heck of a biker, but I'm really impressed that you ride from HB to Irvine!! Kudos to Freedom.
 
The home has the added benefit of being front row seating for the SNA flight path. Monday thru Saturday, no alarm clock needed for after 7AM. You get literally one flight every minute and half from 7AM to 7:30AM on weekdays. On Sunday, you get a break until 8AM. Unlike the east side down past 19th, the flight noise is very noticeable in the area the house is located. Noticeable such that if you're not damaging your hearing with thumping base in your car, you'll be able to tell the difference in the planes and their load by their sound.
 
What was with the mirror fetish in the 60s? Seriously, it seems like every home I find in N. Tustin that was built in the 60s and still owned, and never remodeled, by grandma and grandpa has way too much mirror action for me. I understand why you use mirrors in a small place to make it appear larger, but in a 2909 sqft. home it is large enough to not need the mirrors.

This is the most stale house I have seen in a while. It needs so much help to make it not feel like grandma's and grandpa's house, that I don't even know where to begin. This home was purchased in 1977, and it looks like they have hardly touched it since other than a few upgrades of appliances in the kitchen. If they priced it $799k it might sell, but at their WTF price it will languish. Someone needs to show them a foreclosure radar map of the area, it ain't pretty, but it is hopeful for me...

Can someone explain this listing to me? Description- "DO NOT SHOW! DO NOT SHOW! DO NOT SHOW! DO NOT SHOW!"... On MLS 470 days. Originally bought in 1996. The only thing I can think of is HELOC/REFI death and a short sale scam since they're only about 10% below their original list price and at the same price as September 2008. Or maybe, one of the rare people that actually can still afford their house and don't really want to sell for the price.

I want that chandelier. It just needs a little black paint to cover up the gold accents. Are those two twin beds pushed together in the master?

This is the most Realtarded thing I have read in a while. This home is in Orange Park Acres, you would be lucky on a clear day to see Huntington Beach. This Realturd is so stupid, they don't even know that they are in an entirely different county. Then you just have to look at the price being higher than the 2005 purchase price. This Realturd needs to back to asking "you want fries with that?"

Wow, I can see Palos Verdes to Century City from Orange...that much be on heck of a view. haha We should report him to CAR for that description for being a bit misleading. lol
 
For first couple hours immediately following the winter rain cold fronts blasting through when the sun first comes out and the 1st rush hour hasn't yet completed, from Huntington Beach you have views of Catalina, Down Town LA, San Pedro, Pasadena, Big Bear and Saddleback.



Granted it's only from the freeway overpasses, but it's there. For about two hours...

I love this one... short sale, current occupant would like to stay if possible. Would you allow someone who stopped paying the mortgage on the house to rent it from you? Their credit is shot, why not go ahead and get 6 more months of free living before lucky investor can get the evicted. I suppose the current occupants could be renters, but I haven't seen many short sales done on investment properties.

I love it, they can't afford the teaser rate for the optionARM, but think that they can afford the 4 large a month it would take to cover a conventional note on that property?
