Do they really think their home over doubled in value?! And they are on a really busy street.

Redfin's comps indicate it's worth over $900,000, so, yeah, it has more than doubled in value. It's not worth almost triple, though, unless the water view is worth that much of a premium. As for the street, it is a four laner with a median, but if you do a 360 in Google's street view, you literally can't see another car on the street, so it can't be THAT busy.
I also think they got quite a deal in 2004, considering it sold for more than two thirds that 15 years earlier. Maybe it was a fixer at the time.
