How much will IPO sell his place for?

I heard that Air Heads with a lot of money goto USC and poor kids with brains goto UCLA? Is this true? Dude, don't shoot me, I did not attend either of these schools. This is just what i hear from the people in the midwest. Some acronoyms like,

USC - University of Spoiled Children

UCLA - University of Caucasions Lost Among Asians

Panda.</blockquote>

The kids with brains go to UCLA.

Those who can't get into UCLA, but have money, go to USC.

And the rest go to all the rest.

Wow, Ipop!

I had a bit of catching up to do and I missed all the fast excitement of two pros putting a listing up and entering escrow in record time! congrats!

You must not have any Panda in your genes. It's a Panda thing, sheesh.</blockquote>

It must be a cultural thing. If something happens in my family, we talk about what happened, but not the why or how. In my wife's family, there is nothing off limits. It may seem intrusive, but when they show concern or offer to help, you know it is genuine.

The funniest thing happened as I was checking out Ipop?s place.

There's another listing at the end of the same alley, I mean street.

As I was leaving, I went to make a U turn and stopped briefly in front of it for a moment.

Before I know it, Realtor Frank charges out, thinking I was there to see his listing.

I immediately punched it.

Checked the rearview and noticed he was standing in the street.

Looked like he was mouthing ?Come Back? or something else.

Good thing IR2 wasn't there. He has amazing athletic abilities when it comes to potential buyers. For sure he would have been able to jump on your car and latch onto your roof 007 style. I can only imagine how tough it would be to shake him off. Probably best to hit the 74 and hit it hard in the twistys, and him stuck in a tree.

I think I heard about your visit to the neighborhood...

Frank said he saw greasy-looking pimply-faced teenager in a tricked out Pinto, similar to this one, casing houses on my firelane (not alley):

<img src="http://jamesptaylor.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/ford-pinto.jpg" alt="" />

I think he was mouthing "You really should try Proactiv" or something to that effect.

Don?t you wish Ipop.

That was Frank the Realtor?s ride, didn't you notice it matches the color of his sign.

Your neighbor (to the right) was outside when I passed by.

I was going to chat him up but was afraid he?d start hitting me up for spare change.

Felt sorry and would've helped him out but I only carry Hundos.

Frank Agahi has the ugliest sign.

This was my first trip to West Irvine and I was unimpressed.

The layout of those homes is horrible.

They?re so close together, Ipop could open his front door and literally slap his neighbor.

That was no street either.

Seems more like a glorified alley to me.

The view from Ipop?s front door is straight towards the neighbor?s wall.

The neighbor's house to the north sits conveniently elevated, well above Ipops.

Getting there was like navigating thru an obstacle course.

The streets are narrow to begin with and are lined up and down with cars.

Don?t homes there come with a garage?

Grade my critique Bkshopr

There is a good bit of street congestion in West Irvine. That's what you get with a large concentration of higher density construction. People often park only one car in their garage and with so many multi-gen families, they probably have at least two on the street... We didn't park either of our cars in the garage. It was for kid crap and storage.

Cal Pac was nice enough to give us some gentle elevation changes, with the neighbor on the other side of the alley above us by probably 5-6 feet and those places behind us situated at a lower elevation.

Actually, the view from the front door is straight to the neighbors front door. We could open the front doors and play catch... I imagine all the Cal Pac 4-pack and 3-pack detached cluster homes are the same. Would have been nice if they'd planted taller shubbery in the area between.

Definitely forces you to see and interact with, at least to a small degree, your neighbors. That neighbor of mine is the best DIY guy I've ever met and has a tool collection to be envied. Not seen it yet, but I understand he recently floored pretty much his entire attic, re-routing and re-doing a bunch of the ducting to maximize the area, and built a swing down attic door with foldout ladder to gain access.

Well that explains it, no wonder he was slack-jawed and dumb-founded.

You can combine the cost of both Franks rides (V8 X5) and you still couldn?t touch mine.

Ask the dude, your neighbor on the right.

He glimpsed glory, fell to his knees and worshipped.

What good is a worship-worthy car when you don't have the balls to show up and allow us to bask in your glory?

Has nothing to do with balls.

Unfortunate for me but fortunately for Ipop, he listed his place over 4th of July weekend.

I headed to Vegas to have fun and watch the UFC show.

Going to the Affliction show this Sat. at the Honda Center (Go Fedor!).

Didn?t have a chance to get over to Ipop's until this weekend.

[quote author="25w100k+" date=1216097144]Its an SL55 from what he's said before. A cool car, but I'd rather drive a 318Ti then a benz.</blockquote>

Not sure if Ten has an SL55 ? I might be wrong though.

I know most of the locals driving those as thats my weekend ride as well.

Just hope he is not the guy with the fake AMG badges on the Black SL600

that I see around. :ahhh:

You're on the wrong board with that stuff Ten... You won't get many kudos for blowing big dollars on status rides here. If you can't comfortably afford to swing your desired NP trophy house, why over-spend on a vehicle? To have that much money tied up into a car, you should be able to afford to buy housing-wise what you want where you want IMO.

No, I don?t have an SL 55.

Don?t know where that came from.

I?m younger.

What people choose to spend their money on / lifestyle is irrelevant.

People across the board here are waiting for prices to come down.

Whether it?s a starter condo or pretentious mansion, doesn't matter.
