NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I hear ya effenheimer.

There are plenty of people that do it for all the wrong reasons.

In fact, I heard the number one reason cited by hybrid owners for the reason they purchased a hybrid was image.

Dr. Housing Bubble has the following post about legislation that screws the financially-responsible, patient citizens of America.

This already passed the house:

Democrats Republicans

Yes 225 123

No 0 72

Not Voting 6 6

I'm bummed because I could see something like this getting signed into law, undoing a natural market correction. However, I have not kept up with politics. Is it possible there are financially-responsible, patient senators? Ah crap, what am I saying?

Congress often passes measures for purely political purposes knowing full well that either the other house of congress or the president will kill the measure. I doubt the stuff in this bill will become law.

I didn't realize A-town was planned for eleven high rises with 2600+ units.

IR, never underestimate a politician's desire to "do something" in the name of helping voters, nor the natural tendency of the masses to demand rescue from their own actions.

I thought this was a very interesting graph posted on "The Big Picture" from the NYT
