Frozen Yogurt fans or for those who've never tried the tart-flavored frozen yogurt

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
[quote author="zovall" date=1211601970]Just got back from some free yogurt. ;) I had the original tart and it was really good. One of my coworkers was raving about the Pina Colada; I'll have to try that out next time. Best of luck with the store! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.</blockquote>

Thanks for dropping by. It was great meeting you and IrvineRealtor in person. Also, thanks for the positive feedback. ;) We'll be swirling new flavors in the near future. Please come back and sample soon.

So, I had every intention of ordering the IR2 special today, but I saw the blackberries and that idea went out the window. Mango yogurt with blackberries was FTW! The owner was also very nice and let graph and I have a second free yogurt (peanut butter yogurt with bananas was very tasty as well) after we introduced ourselves. I nearly fell over laughing at the way the owner said "Oh...OHHHHHHH!!!" when he realized who graph was. Hysterical I tell you.

Anyhow, I recommend everyone stop by Cantaloop and try it out!

Yeah... I'm not sure if the owner's reaction was, "Oh... how cool, I get to meet one of the top ranting posters of IHB." Or the, "Oh... crap, is this guy going to pick apart the construction of my place with .jpgs and find the bad feng shui?", kind of reaction. I think it was more the oh crap reaction, but the owner is definitely cool. I went back there to take my mom, and again he hooked me up with a free yogurt. I didn't expect that, and I was fully prepared to pay, but the peanut butter yogurt with oreo cookies was free and awesome.

I also bumped into acmpe and his SO there. So, expect another plug for the tastiness of Cantaloop and the cool owners.

I couldn't do the IR2 special, just out of spite. However, I did get the mango yogurt with lychee and kiwi. The lychee complimented it very well, but the kiwi kinda overpowered it. Gawdamnit, I hate to say the IR2 special may have been the way to go. Speaking of IR2, I know that times are tough, but he had to write a check for $1 extra charge for the extra topping. Man, how could you bounce a check for $1? Don't worry IR2, I got your back and took care of it. You can go back to Cantaloop now, you will just be on an all cash basis from now on though.

I think I might be a Cantaloop addict, so you will be seeing more of me and Caycifish in the future. And, if I bump into IR2 there, I expect the yogurt to be on him.

While driving home tonight I told my wife that graphrix, zovall, cacyifish, and IR visited the store. She then said, "Why didn't you get me from the back?" (My wife is always in the back of the store cutting fruit.) She continued to talk about how all you are like celebrities and she wanted to meet you face to face. I promised her that next time we meet, I'll introduce her to everyone.

Speaking of - if IHB ever wants to do a meet-up, I'm more than willing to offer up our location. And, of course, I'd figure out a big discount (something like 30-40% or something to cover our cost). I wouldn't profit from the event should anyone decide to buy yogurt. I know we're all saving for that house in late 2008 - mid 2009 when prices drop another 25%. :)

No worries, next time Caycifish and I are there we will ask you to get your wife out from the back. I can't say I have ever felt like a celebrity, and I certainly don't feel like I should feel like one because of IHB. IrvineRenter may be on his way to being a celebrity, but me, I just like to give IR2 a hard time.

I will see what I can do about a mini meet up at Cantaloop for IHB. Don't worry about discounting the price, IR2 will pick up the tab, with cash, because he owes you. ;-)

Ok, first off that's so funny that your wife wanted to meet us. Secondly, woo hoo for a meetup at Cantaloop! I'm looking for an excuse to try pina colada yogurt with Fruit Loops. I think graph wanted to go for peanut butter and Cocoa Puffs. :-)

i met you as well, cantaloop, but didnt identify myself. it was a great time and the place was crowded! comfortable store with lots of versatile space. a meet there is a nice idea.

just curious, what's going on with the rest of that strip center? looks like a lot of construction going on there and in the lot behind you as well.

The strip across from us will be all restaurants including Chipotle, Buffalo Wild Wings, L&L;Hawaiian, Shabu Shabu, and more. The 2nd floor of that strip will be all medical offices. We're part of the new project, but happened to open earlier since we went into the existing building facing 17th St.

Let me know if you want to do a meetup. That would be awesome! BTW - our bananas were ripe so I swirled Banana-Strawberry today. Yummy! (took out Pina Colada though)

I had a nice loop yesterday, very, very tasty. I chose the original tart since that is what I usually order from yogurt places, but I should have tried that banana strawberry swirl... Oh well, it was yummy nonetheless.

Graph and I stopped in last Saturday to try some new combos. I had a regular tart with Fruit Loops. It was kinda strange, but mainly because the cold bothered my teeth while I crunched on the cereal. Regular tart reminds me of cheesecake or cream cheese, so next time I'll try it with strawberries or blueberries instead. Graph had the pom blueberry with blueberries and liked it very much. We hung out for a bit and read magazines (there is a wide variety available on tables) and talked to cantaloop (the owner) when he didn't have other customers. It's not a bad place to just chill for a while.

Price wise I think Cantaloop has the competition beat. The double seems quite large and at $4.95 w/ 3 toppings seems almost the same as Pinkberry's large at 6.95 and Red Mango's $7.

If you decide to get a double, this should definitely make your trip worth it! ;)

We've introduced the Loopy Fruit Salad. Here's a special coupon for our friends at IHB.

Damn you cantaloop, damn you! Why... gawd why, did you have to name that "salad" after me? That is messed up. I think I will have to be there personally to discuss this issue.

I was feeling under the weather, and soft food sounded fabulous, so graph and I stopped by today. The loopy fruit salad did look tasty, but I didn't try it. I had vanilla with bananas, peanut butter cups and chocolate chips (boy did that hit the spot!). Graph had mango with lychee, cantaloop and...I forget the last topping....mango?

Anyhow, it was yet another tasty trip to Cantaloop!

I was there earlier today. Sorry I missed you. I'm glad you had a good experience. When I'm not there, I have no idea what the employees do ;)
