Election Day

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I only have one goal this election.. to NOT vote for Agran.

I'm on the Agran "death" (not literally) watch.  And hope that prop that closes his loopholes passes.  Where's a good place to get updates on our local results?  Thank you.

There was no one else at the voting booth. Unfortunately the most important elections for our country are senate elections in other states which I have no influence over.

Voting is hard because it's hard to get a good assessment of local candidates so I did the best I could.

I vote religiously but everything I vote for will lose and everything I vote against will win....drat!!!

I'm voting NO on prop 46
No thanks to higher medical insurance costs simply to go into pockets of greedy trial attorneys (no offense to any lawyers here on TI)  ;D

Yeah...45 and 46 are both weird.  One side you have trial attorneys and other the other, you have insurance companies.  Pick your poison.

I still need to find my polling place...I tried to vote last year and it showed my polling place in the middle of nowhere.

google is your friend...
go to google.com, on the bottom click on "Find your voting location and hours."
orhttp://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=where+do+i+vote

Then enter your address

Yeah...I got it off the California SOS website as well.  I think it was just human error.

Important to me are NO to Agran and slate, NO to prop 46, YES to Irvine term limits, YES to Great Park measure.
Otherwise straight-line Democratic Party ticket.

Those are all Republican votes.

I try in the smaller races (water board, dog catcher) to vote for the wacky candidate, and try and mix it up a bit.  "No" on all of the judges... who are these people??? and fully expect my neighbor who voted just after me to negate all of my votes. Democracy RULES!

... and yes, you still have to vote so don't skip it please.

We do absentee and I fill out my family members ballots. So my vote = multiple votes.

No to Agran and his slate. No to any of the people I don't know.
No to any measures or propositions that has union support.
Otherwise, Republican. If no Republicans, I vote for Asian last names, followed by female. The last tie breaker is coin flip.

That's why there's a key word there, "otherwise".

Not Irvine specific but I'm hoping people like Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom are shown the door as well.  I don't know if their replacements are any better but there's always some "hope" with the new guys.  :P

If it talks like and duck and walks like a duck "otherwise" it's not a duck?
