Downtown Huntington Beach Real Estate Market??

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Thanks for your thoughts everyone. I'll just steer clear of people who look like this.

As for Costa Mesa, any particular parts I should avoid? The food section of the forums mentions Costa Mesa as having some of the better restaurants.

[quote author="alan" date=1214536712]Piece of advise for newcomers to HB. Buy the annual beach parking pass.

Even if you don't surf, its still great to have and if you want to visit the new Resort, you can park in the beach lot and walk over on the bridge over PCH instead of paying for parking.

Seriously, 50% of the times I got tickets. They waited at my car for 5 minutes so the meter would expired. I pissed them off at times when I just follow the parking Nazi and insert coins into expired meters. The short time limit allocated on the meters is terrible.

depends on what you are trying to avoid.

snobby rich people? avoid the NPB adjacent part of the east side, and south coast plaza.

crime? there is no part of CM that i would worry about my windows being smashed to get the ipod on the dash. there is also no area where i wouldn't lock the car doors when leaving the car with the ipod on the dash.

seriously, OC is so low crime, outside of a few neighborhoods in SA and anaheim, that i don't even think about it.

CDM, resturants, are you serious?

Riveria at the Fireside, just off the 405 & Westminster (might be in Westminster instead of HB, it's on the border) is one of the best resturants in OC. They used to be in South Coast, but moved after losing their lease years ago.

Alan,

The cool music venue In HB was called The Golden Bear. That brings back memories. I actually met my first husband there not to mention all the wonderful acts. You gotta love a small, intimate venue.

The Coach House is in SJC.
