the only thing gaining traction is the FB "i support christopher jordan dorner" group with 12k+ likes... stuff like this bothers me greatly... cause regardless of how crappy LAPD is, i dont think i can ever support a crazy guy going around killing innocents...
LAPDs got some bad apples... but there are probably better ways to whistle blow then to pull something like this...
Yes, they're very misguided and frankly, someone needs to have a talk with them. At the heart of this issue, we must remember is a person, so imbittered, that they (allegedly) killed a person's daughter and her finance because of what the father wasn't able to do, or as perceived by Dorner as intentionally misrepresenting the case.
As for blowing the whistle, that was part of his complaint. With the Peace Officer Bill of Rights, essentially the only people that investigate the police are the police.
The first question will hopefully be answered quickly, is it Dorner that is dead in the cabin. If so, manhunt story over. Then the media needs to move on to the big five questions about the police in this case.
1. Why'd they shoot up the torrance neighborhood and two ladies in a bright blue tacoma. A Tacoma and Titan don't look similar.
2. Why'd they shoot up the ridgeline after ramming it?
Now that you've answered one and two, let's talk about what that means about the way the police operate and their attitude towards the general public.
3. Why did Dorner warrant a few hundred or thousand plus manhunt? Every other violent crime victim should be outraged, IMHO, at the double standard.
4. Why a million dollar reward in the first days? That seems completely abnormal too.
5. Did a sniper kill him or did he kill himself. Too much story massaging going on in the police versions.
Most police are great people. They do a great job. It's time for them to stop protecting the bad apples. It's also time for those that have become two jaded to get out of the job.
