NPR reported that the ladies shot by LAPD in Torrance this morning were delivering papers in a blue Nissan Titan, headlights turned off, and running stop signs.  Apparently the ladies keep their headlights off out of respect for the neighbors while delivering newspapers.  The sound of shots fired prompted a nearby resident to call the police which brought Torrance police speeding towards the scene, where about a quarter of a mile away, they fired on another innocent driver of a Nissan Titan, or similar truck, under the assumption that it was the suspect fleeing the scene of the first shooting.

LA Times has photos of all three trucks. The women's truck is a bright blue, with bullet holes riddled all over the back. The other truck is a black honda ridgeline.

I've seen the newspaper delivery in my neighborhood in the morning.  They drive lights out and weave all over the road.  You can also see them slinging papers at every other house.  Now maybe that neighborhood is different, maybe they came around a corner, or maybe the cops just aren't being very responsible in blazing away before identifying their target.

Sadly, I've heard rumors that Dorner was dismissed for was reporting abuse of power by his training officer.

"At Dorner's disciplinary hearing, numerous officers testified about a July 28, 2007, "use of force" incident at the Doubletree Hotel in San Pedro in which Dorner's training officer, Sgt. Teresa Evans, shot a mentally ill man with a Taser gun to subdue him when Dorner and the man struggled and fell into bushes.
Other officers and witnesses described the use of force similarly, but Dorner filed a report saying Evans had kicked the man twice in the shoulder and face, and discouraged him from including the information in his police report."

I saw an IPD patrol car  stationed all day on the median of the 241 South (before the Santiago Canyon Exit) all day today. Never seen IPD on that part of the Toll Road before. They must be waiting to shoot up the next blue truck that comes by.

Turned onto my quiet residential street in Irvine and there were four police officers standing behind a police car with searchlights pointing at oncoming traffic. They had rifles out.

I hope this is over soon.

Every city is mentioned except for Irvine again.
I think you have selective hearing. Every radio broadcast I've heard and TV news I've watched mentions Irvine.

I am only referring to some sites like the one I posted.
Irvine is mentioned in the site you posted, it's in the caption under the video of LA Police Chief Beck:
Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck provides a briefing on the case of Christopher Dorner, the fired LAPD officer wanted in revenge slayings in Irvine, California.
Granted, it's not in text of the main article, but it's there.

i like the torrance incident tho... "shoot first ask questions later"... sigh... n LAPD shrugs it off as "mistaken identity" like its ordinary and nothing happened =_=... its like LAPD and the shooter is playing a game to compete on who is a bigger fuck up... =_=;;

Leave your white cars at home today. Heard a news blurb that the cops are looking for the suspect in a white lexus last scene in the Barstow area.

No doubt this guy can reach out and touch someone...

"Hopefully you analyst have done your homework. You are aware that I have always been the top shot, highest score, an expert in rifle qualifications in every unit I?ve been in. I will utilize every bit of small arms training, demolition, ordnance, and survival training I?ve been given."

"As you know I also own Barrett .50?s so your APC are defunct and futile."

"In my cache you will find several small arms. In the cache, Bushmaster firearms, Remington precision rifles, and AAC Suppressors (silencers). All of these small arms are manufactured by Cerberus/Freedom Group"

Same here. The British paper I read has had this as the stop story with a bold headline for two days on their home page with "Irvine" mentioned twice along with "murder" several times. It's weird to see little Irvine mentioned across the pond.

Sorry for being so selfish but does this affect Irvine's zero crime rate? The killer is from LA county so it shouldn't count, right?
