NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program

I'll wait for the 2011 prices (>$300K)</blockquote>

Not low enough, considering rental equivlents in the area and the stigma of the "Santa Ana" zipcode.

$150K.

My wife and I drove through the neighborhood on Sunday morning. They're still quite a few units still available from what we could tell. One issue we discovered as we drove around the backway is that there isn't a lot of space for two-way traffic. On top of that, there are too many tight 90 degree turns with garage doors just around the corner. What I'm trying to say is that I think their design is a fender-bender waiting to happen. Even with a bunch of carefully placed convex mirrors, I still a big hazard for the residents' autos.

Yes, that's why I listed it also. I typed the link correctly and it goes to a register page but says that it has been disabled, this is the second time this has happened with Register links, anyone know why?

Oh yeah... that was mentioned somewhere else.

That makes sense... I just wonder how many artists can actually afford the mortgage of those places when they first sold.

So no coffee house? No law firm? No daycare?</blockquote>

HOA restrictions prevent some uses (food and daycare).

There is one (more?) law office in the CityPlace lofts. insurance, a cigar store, some clothing boutiques, some home office uses.</blockquote>

Tailor, Photo studio, Jewelry store, and Financial Advisor</blockquote>

You forgot massage parlor.</blockquote>There is no massage parlor. That "Massage Envy" place is in the next stripmall over.

And now the fun begins as the party really gets started.

This joint, the Skyline towers, the North Korea towers, that stuff over near the Platinum Triangle........is coming to market.

Ouch for iStar... first it is the Skyline Towers... now this one... Anyone else want to take bets on when iStar has to file for BK? They have so much garbage like this on their books, it is inevitable.

Anyone know if they've gotten real and lowered their prices? The article says something about new and improved pricing but I'm thinking that line is from way back.

You're likely a year or more and maybe one more BK from seeing these priced at what I think will clear the market IMO. "Lowered the prices" means they gave them another $1000 off.

i dunno how much more u think the price will drop. it's already at around $220/sqft. i doubt these brand new homes will go under $200/sqft even if it is in Santa Ana. Besides, they are empty but there are not that many units in the complex. i don't see them going under $400k for the parks models. hell i'll probably pick one up for a rental property at $425k.

Max it'll rent for is about $1800 a month. You'll be upside down big time at that price.

i'm renting out a 2bd 1 car garage 1000sqft condo in Placentia for 1700. For Cityplace i'm sure i can get 500 a room and 525 for the master. 4 rooms net over $2k easy. Plus low tax rate, hoa & no mellow roos. Cash purchase equates to rental income plus equity build. not too shabby.

Please let us know where you will be buying so I will stay away. Renters are the #1 reason for neighborhood erosion.

Family renting homes, students renting rooms, apartments, trailer park rentors, you name it. maybe u can try canada, i hear their rental population is pretty minimal up there lol?
