Just remember that if you change the computer module or add a piggyback module they WILL cancel your warrenty.

Ya gotta unbolt that stuff before it goes to the dealer. I have a trailer wiring harness that I refuse to permanently install for a similar reason.
Practice line: "Oh <em>that</em> thing? That's a trailer hitch? I just put my bike rack on there... You mean I could attach a trailer to that? Who'd want to do <em>that</em>?"

Figured I'd bump this thread again--
Check out these pictures of a <a href="http://www.ocregister.com/articles/intersection-bmw-2431378">wrecked 2008 BMW 550i</a> after a collision with a mini van near Tustin. It took a beating and the guy is walking away without injury after a 40mph hit. Notice no intrusion into into the driver compartment of the BMW. The windshield is intact too. Not bad considering that the 5er got poor side impact ratings. The elderly lady in the mini van didn't fare as well and was taken away by ambulance. She had major intrusion into her vehicle. There is a nice photo of the BMW's vanity plate imprinted on the mini van's hub cap.
