Best 3-row SUV/Crossover?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I can't say enough good things about my Sequoia - other than the 15mpg City. Plenty of room. Reliable. Dirt cheap if you buy 2nd hand (some 2007s still are under warranty) Why 15mpg? I've got a 4WD unit. Expect somewhere around 20 if you don't floor it all the time.

That mini picture is pretty rough to look at. I'll need to watch something stoopid on TV tonight just to erase my memory of that image.

I know somewhere in the thread it said no german, but just for fun, the MBZ E wagon has a rear facing 3rd row.  Not sure how safe that is... but probably pretty fun for the kid....
It's not really "no german"... it's more like "no high cost both of the vehicle and then the maintenance thereafter".

I had a 2001 Sequoia and it was very reliable and had soooooooooo much room even when the third row was in.  When you take the third row out and roll the second row forward, it looks like you can fit a big bed in there....  just saying...

On the gas mileage I have to say it got much better gas than I expected for a LARGE SUV.  I think I averaged 17 MPG mixed city/highway driving.
I have heard the newer even larger Sequoia's get pretty bad gas mileage (12-13 MPG) due to their 5.7L engines.  The one I had (2001 year) is a 4.6L engine and provided enough power for all my needs.

Now we have a Lexus SUV and although it is smaller than the Sequoia, it gets worse gas mileage.  I think it is due to all the extra 'stuff' and soundproofing adding weight to the vehicle.
