Bella Cuba (tastes like Versailles but in OC!)

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I ended up not going over the weekend. It was a nice, warm day so I said... let's hit Cook's Corner instead! LOL. That, we did. Made some new friends, listened to the live music and ate outside. Will shoot for Bella Cuba next weekend. I can't help myself after seeing all the good reviews, like IacRenter said.

Having cold, left over Bella Cuba garlic chicken right now with black beans and plantains.. heaven in my mouth...

Had another wonderful meal here recently... Got the flank steak, mucho flavor with peppers and onions.. paired with a pitcher of Sangria = walking around World Market after dinner to get ready for the ride home.  Wife got the chicken and still the most bang for the buck... kid loves the little sliced breads they serve... friendly service.. plenty of birthdays being celebrated here for some reason... don't know why but they call the birthday celebrant either "panchito" or "panchita" during the birthday song.  Everyone laughs too... still worth it (I think) to have 6 burly hispanic dudes serenade you on your bday.

Have you tried the paella?  Always want to but didn't want to wait an hour...wonder if they let you call ahead....besides chicken and steak, anything else you tried and recommend?

I want to try the ropa... but I can't resist the chicken. I guess I'm not too adventurous once I find something I like.

Everytime I go there, I want to try Inka Mama next door to see how awesome that fried rice is (chaufa?).

Finally tried the chicken fried rice at Inka Mama... it was okay. It has a curry spice taste to it and I'm not really into that kind of flavor... liked my Bella Cuba better.
