You most likely have ADD. Do you have hyper-focus at work or a project you must complete? You know, where you are so focused you can't even hear what people are saying when they address you and you will stay up late to finish it...

You need the caffeine from the tea or coffee because it helps you focus. It is the poor mans ADD meds.

Wanting to get out and experience a new place and/or job is pretty typical. You crave the newness of it.

You describe me pretty accurately Graph, most People know me well enough at work to know that I really care about them and what they did over the weekend but don't tell me about it when I'm focusing on a project/composing a Business e-mail or whatever because all they will get is a "Wow, that was awesome" and if they asked me to repeat what they just said I wouldn't beable to....so yeah, I do have hyper-focus at work..

One thing that's always puzzled me is that all through School/college etc, I would sit in class and be absolutely miles away, I got to be really good at doodling, but I always passed every exam...so I must be retaining something somewhere...

For the most part My profile is fairly close but not totally on the spot. There is a folder on the regulars and I do take notes when an important post about themselves posted occasionally. PANDA and RC are the easiest since both of them are very expressive and open. Perhaps their out going personality is a reflection of their happiness and attitude inspired by their religion. Their files are the thickest.

Seriously, you all are very intelligent people. I just found it sad that many of you are settling for homes that will never meet your expectations, spatial and lot requirement. Buying a home due to time pressure you will soon realize in just a few years the home and lot are often just too small for the family. #1 reason for resale is "out grown" a home.

IMO Graph is one of the smartest. He is keeping his eyes on a property with expansion potential. Land is paramount within your property and not outside your property owned by someone else. Even though there are no sidewalks, street parking, and street lamps there and many other very desirable communities do not have them too. Palos Verdes, a portion of San Marino, Montecito, Bel Air, Rancho Santa Fe, Oak Knoll, La Canada, and Los Feliz. Yes, without them they are inconvenient but they promote other benefits such as privacy and crime prevention. I like them because the rural nature not seeing curb and gutter. This was the strategy for Shady Canyon.

Very true. I've seen homes selling for 200-250 per sq ft with a 1/2 to full acre lots in Fullerton. Fullerton test scores are equal(or better: Troy tops Uni) to Irvine. And who cares what your city has to offer when you can make your own city your backyard. Look at this. Just wow!

That looks like more than an acre...I hope the seller includes a compass with that home so you can find way back home from the backyard. haha

Would you please put PANDA in a cage?

I love the huge lot, but am horrified by all the water required to keep all that needless grass green. If I had that house I'd make the yard like a Parisian park.

It is gorgeous! But who is going to mow that monstrosity? All my husband does is draw pictures with the lawn mower until I get fed up and take over. I can see my weekends bent over a lawn debris bag.

Wanting to get out and experience a new place and/or job is pretty typical. You crave the newness of it.

Aside from the tattoos, you just described me. My best friend in college nicknamed me ADD. On more than one occasion, I walked away from her at parties or at bars to talk to somebody else when she was mid-sentence. It used to really hurt her feelings until she had the ADD epiphany after she came home to find the kitchen faucet running while I was in my room watching t.v. (I had turned on the faucet, switched to something else while it was warming up, and then marched right into my bedroom and turned on the t.v., forgetting about the faucet). A few years ago, a colleague of mine commented on my ability to hyper-focus and he said that he was positive that I had ADD (his son has it). I finally accepted the reality that I likely have ADD after I switched jobs last year (due to the need for newness) and struggled to complete any task for the first few months until I became extremely busy. When under pressure or overloaded with work, I greatly outperform my peers.

When I was in class, I had to be a very active notes taker to maintain focus and not zone out. I almost never studied outside of class or prepared before class (even in law school), but I can cram like hell and retain a lot in my short term photographic memory. Were you able to cram? If I didn't have the ability to hyper-focus in cram sessions, I would have never graduated magna cum laude.

I'd say they are at LEAST DD to DDD maybe more. I cannot judge sizes that large.... She's probably less than 5' but wears platforms.

Actually, before I answer your question I realized I wasn't quite accurate when I say I've never read a Book, by that, I mean Novels...I can speed-read, in fact, a Guy loaned me a Book one night, "We may as well win" by Johan Bruyneel, Lance Armstrongs' team Director who was with him through at least 7 Tour-de-France...

Anyway, I saw him an hour later and gave him the Book back, he didn't believe I'd read it...so he asked me a load of questions and I got them all right, so you see, it seems that if I'm REALLY interested in something I can concentrate and soak it all up...

So to answer your question, the ability to speed read (and read as quickly upside down as the right way up) coupled with the ability to hyper-focus (I was reading about that today) I was able to cram and race through all the exam questions to answer the easy ones first and work my way down to the ones that were gonna take a lot of time...

If I know something is important or interesting I'm able to hyper focus and not daydream...and yes, I can cram.

Wow, Sunshine. I can totally relate. Graph says I'm totally ADD, but nobody ever noticed because I can control the hyper-focus most of the time and take care of business. Passed a whole lot of quizes completely on short-term photographic memory. Best thing ever was when I learned to read while on an elliptical trainer.

You know you have ADD when...

I have been meaning to post that link since last night but I forgot, and I am finally posting it now after reading what I have already read once before for the last 20 minutes.

BTW, the wondering where my car keys were, so I panic a rip things apart to find them, but they were really in the ignition because I wanted to listen to music has actually happened to me.
