I have been keeping a log of users sign in habit and duration. From the log I have been able to track members for the last 8 months for the various category's: unemployed, stay home moms, when she picks up her kids from school, employees with specific lunch hours, when people leave work and the time it took them to get home. When they prepare meal for family, their dinner time frame before logging back in at night, when the users go to bed. I am also able to track habit and meeting time by pattern that determine fixed schedule and flexible schedule to gauge self employed or employee status. If you want to modify your pattern then it is already too late.

I have no access to ISP information and I am not affliated with the moderators. Information is purely for data mining and for future marketing research.

Panda. I did offset your time by 2 hours.

I feel a disturbance in the force... or rather... my privacy.

Sorry. In case anyone is wondering... my post is not affiliated with Bk's market research. I wrote it before I saw his. Just coincidental timing.

The internet is a huge resource to track information and clients pay a huge $$$$$ amount for this type of data and especially when the common goal is home purchase. Your information and profile are safe with me. This is how better design is derived and be tailored fit to the market. Nontheless, no 3 car garages ever on my drawing board.

On the contrary posters are facinated with the process and the interactive modeling that their voices are being heard and matter except for your 3 car garage wish. They do want to learn how data mining makes companies successful.

Dude, thank you for inventing the internet.

Geez, now it's not just "I know where you live", it's "I know every move you make". Bk, the IHB Stalker.

Makes me wonder what the idle timeout is. I leave my browser to IHB open all day/night sometimes. I know it logs me out eventually (sometimes I'm reading the front page but I'm not in the list of logged in people), but that may skew your data.

^ I was wondering the same thing. A lot of times I go out for the day but leave it up and running. Mine is never logged out when I get back. How accurate is the data?

When you are not posting for a long period of time but just logged in then it is an indication that you were away. Employees who does not want their employer to find out tend to log off before going to lunch and meetings and log back in immediately.

Not posting, or not interacting with the server? I frequently read IHB and have nothing to say.

I wonder how much I mess you up when I'm on IHB on two computers at once.

Bk - I don't mind that you have the data, but would you mind altering your post so that you're not sharing your findings of me here publicly? I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Maybe some posters. I think there a quite a few new members and even regulars who would rather not be i-stalked. That's why almost every online site has you agree to policies that govern such data tracking.

Anonymity is usually a luxury that many prefer on message board/forums... or else everyone would just post their real name and their picture (and show up more often at IHB gatherings).

When are you going to start sending me royalties?

Everything is confidential for research purposes. No names or identity would ever be revealed or compromised.

IHO made many good points about community and I feel we need to down grade a notch to the blue collar ambiance.

A 20'-1" garage instead of a 20' wide garage. That 1" is very valueble land to give up.

Interesting. You should get an account on Facebook, I learn all sorts of things about random people on there.

What would bk do if he had access to all the info Google has on us?

For anyone who may be a little paranoid.. If you don't want bkshopr or anyone else tracking when you are online via the Active Members section at the bottom of the <a href="http://www.irvinehousingblog.com/forums">forum homepage</a>, log in via <a href="http://www.irvinehousingblog.com/forums/member/login/">this link</a> and uncheck the '<em>Show my name in the online users list</em>' checkbox. It will make it a little harder for bk ;)
