[quote author="tenmagnet" date=1207799297]C?mon Ipop,

Do it!

Don't let him try to muscle you around.

Ante up and accept his offer to meet this weekend.

Make sure you issue catchme the official ?This Is Sparta!? reception.</blockquote>

Naw ten, I promised you I'd stop trying to save the world and focus on our shared pursuit of excellence in future housing. I'll spend my free weekend time checking out some open houses instead. 23 Torrey Pine is listed again and I haven't seen it yet. Still WAY overpriced but its a short. Who knows... If I loved it, maybe I'd make a run at it in the high $800s or low 900s.

No Ipop,

For the moment, forget about all that stuff I told you yesterday.

Yeah, I saw Torrey Pine but don?t change the subject.

You need to step to this dude, right now Tony Soprano style.

Defend your turf, just like Tony did when Phil Leotardo and NY tried to muscle in on the Esplanade construction site.

I?m unable to link the YouTube clip. But you get the point.

Ditch the data and facts, step into the ring.

Ding! Ding! Time for a UFC fight.

Go for the knockout baby!

Eye of the Tiger!!

LOL, you all are so funny. Who beats up who?

I dont think violence is the way to iron out differences. I just want to talk to ipoplayer about housing market. Nothing hostile.

I totally understand his intention saving me money. Different peopple have different ways, strategies looking at situations, investments.

He thinks it's not the right time to jump in market, i think it is. That's the main difference between us. Only time will tell.

Again ipodplayer, you do what you have to do. Dont get me wrong, i do enjoy taking your advices.

My philosophy is that real estate investment in a long run is hard to go wrong. Besides, one house is used by my parents in law, one is for me.

Buying a house for 500K.

In 2 years, losing 100 K (maybe, maybe not)

Pride of home ownership, priceless.

Cheer ipoplayer.

I am very interesting in meeting you to discuss future of the housing market. You live in Cortile right? Can I meet you sometimes this weekend since I need to drop off some paperworks at the sale office.</blockquote>

Who read this and thinks that catchme and his brothers are going to jump ipop in the Cortile parking lot? Still, my money's on ipop. Don't let the CFO exterior fool you. You can take the boy out of the IE, but you can't take the IE out of the boy.</blockquote>

LOL, skek, same thing I read between the lines. Catch would sooner have his left testicle removed than entertain my views on the housing market and economy.

Appreciate the endorsement. My last scrap was probably a decade ago after a few too many pitchers at Mutt's one balmy summer evening... My West Side IE bario moves are all rusty. I could 10-key them into submission though :)

Ipop,

Pour it on!

Dude?s already scared and back peddling.

Judging by his hasty retreat he?s probably a Bruin alum as well.

Playing the sympathy card by identifying common interests/ philosophical differences and filling you with empty props.

Trojan horse bro, don?t fall for it.

Finish him Ipop!

Thanks for adding gas into the fire. Hustler like you find this very entertaining.

BTW, I'm Golden Bear alumni but my wife is Bruin though. But I am a big Trojan football fan. Go USC.

C?mon Ipop snap out of it.

What?s wrong with you?

Dude, Here I am carrying the torch, tip of the spear with my epic posts (even threw in a Soprano reference) and you suddenly revert to Steve Urkel.

Now is definitely not the time to mention you were a ?Mathlete? and 10-Key that you referred to had better be a type of martial arts.

That's two stikes for you, yesterday and today.

Now hop off the autopsy table and take it to him.

Catchme,

Well that explains everything.

You should?ve mentioned all that before I wouldn?t have wasted my time writing those glorious posts.

Relax man, I?m no bully and derive no satisfaction from drubbing someone who?s clearly second-rate.

In fact, in lieu of your recent revelations, please allow me to be the first to offer my congratulations and best wishes to both you and your wife for buying a Cortile Plan 3 in Woodbury.

I think you?ve made an excellent choice and applaud your decision to move forward given all the negativity and anti-buying sentiment on this thread.

Do not be deterred and advance toward your goal knowing that you are doing the right thing for your family.

Since you?re an SC football fan, you?ll appreciate this- Fight On!

You're on fire today 10, crackin' me up and I'm supposed to be working for a change...

I'm done with catch, you were right yesterday. Come on, the dude still live's with his parents (in laws, whatever), so going Mayweather on him with well-crafted wit, vocab, facts and figures is just a waste of my energy. His wife probably is the one that really wants to buy the Woodbury place and won't listen to reason because her hormones are whacked out right now and she is "nesting". She undoubtedly runs the show as so many of the asian developer significant others do. When I was CFOing at a startup software comp, the wives of my dev boys were crackin' the whips mighty loud. The dude's equity is shrinking by the nanosecond and he won't consider putting the inlaws in a rental?! Catch needs a casita, not two properties in the fastest declining real estate segment in OC, but the blinders are firmly in place...

Mathlete, that's hilarious. Slow-ass middle linebacker for one year for me and then off to the tennis team since they partied good and hard and I was lazy. Football in the IE is not smart. Summer hell weeks in the friggin' smog and 115 degree heat, just plain stupid.

No Ipop,

I was wrong, catchme made the right decision to buy where he did, believe me.

You need to get on board and be more supportive.

Take the high road and don?t make it personal.

Step away from the bear kool aid for a moment, look at the whole forest rather than just focusing on this particular tree.

You can't fault a guy for pursuing his dream.

Time to let it go, let's get behind his decision.

[quote author="24inIrvine" date=1207873793]Really though, whats a 10 key?</blockquote>

man, do i feel old today.

Wow, this thread's gone off-topic quite a bit, hasn't it? Just when I was about to pitch in that Woodbury Lane's rent for a 1BR has also dropped by $100...

[quote author="24inIrvine" date=1207873793]That is because it carried on in another thread. :)

Really though, whats a 10 key?</blockquote>

It's a big calculator 24 that is primarily used by accountants, bookkeepers and such. It has a roll of paper so you can make print-outs of the calcs you do... When you use them for years you get to be able to work one by touch and not even look at the keys, just like typing on a keyboard.

Haha alright. We have a few of those at the office here. I just have never heard any other name for it besides "calculator." But I was really hoping you were referring to some ninja MMA stuff or something. oh well....

Punchenpie....so where do you see the drops? Are these from rental-living.com? Craig'slist? Are they on all models or just certain apts in that floorplan? Its hard for me to confirm this since if I go to the site, I didn't write the price from a month ago.

24, I learned from my brother who is moving there next week. They were supposed to move into Court, I think they chose the 1BR+den floor plan there. Just for kicks, his fiance called Lane and the leasing consultant said that because their move-in date was so soon they can offer a better deal (yeah right), and said that she has The Gazebo floorplan available for $1,630 for a 14-month lease option.

I checked their site right now and it looks like it shows $1,660 as the lower bound for The Gazebo, so it's not so far-off. When I checked last month, it was at close to $1,800.
