Who's sick?

Kids and I got the flu shot, got sick immediately. Stomach flu again for kid 2 and me. Husband is giving sleepless nights with his cough.. been a week already. I am sick of sick people in the house, and yes, we are all OCD hand washing. Kid 1 has a cold since yesterday and wait for kid 2 to get that, and dad's cough.. UGH!

Ps9, I hear you on the copays..

It is quite common after receiving the flu vaccine to get mild flu like symptoms. Unfortunately there are thousands of viruses and the vaccine only protects people from a limited number of flu viral strains and not the common cold (different virus than flu). Also if your kids are young and in school/daycare, your family will be exposed to a higher number of viral/bacterial infections than the general population.

Not much you can do to prevent infection beyond what already has been posted. You can always try bubble wrap  ;D

Daughter got the flu vaccine very early on and got sick but it never got bad.  Some cough and a slightly elevate temperature but no problems sleeping or being active during the day.
