It looks like I can't make it, unless I bring a 5 year old date (wife left for SF on business trip this morning, so I am a single parent) --- but I do want to officially issue my thanks once again to IrvineRenter and the others out here for keeping me from financial suicide so many times over the last couple of years. I have been one of the more bullish on IHB for going on 2 years now...but thanks to IR's fine work, I have keep my checkbook closed --- and will continue to keep it closed until the IHB consensus is to jump in.



Thanks again for everything, IR --- wish I could thank you in person. Unless you get head of line priveledges if you have kids in tow? Because I have a feeling there will be a long line...

Gotti, you've been spending too much time reading the High Tower Review and Huffington Post :) It's a party at JT Schmidt's at the District, which is that new complex on Jamboree and Red Hill. It starts at 6:30.

It's a self published book, so all the marketing falls on IR. But, they will be selling copies on site and it says it's supposed to go on until 10:30. I don't think I'll make it by 6:30 as I coerced hubby into coming with. He isn't home from work yet and wants to get a work out in before heading out.

Honestly, I was considering selling the condo before I joined the board but wasn't in any rush because my ARM wasn't gonna rest until 2011. I think the forum helped me realize that time was of the essense and realized that waiting too much longer was gonna cost me money. I said it once and I'll say it again, I got really lucky with the timing of the listing because it was shortly before Fannie & Freddie got nationalized and interest rates dropped by 3/4% with a week.
