Whole Foods @ The District now open

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Went for the first time tonight. Whole Foods is no longer a grocery store, it's a food emporium. I didn't see a canned good the entire time I was there. I actually sort of miss the old Whole Foods. Where am I gonna find my dried chickpeas and lentils? Of course, I suppose it doesn't matter if I never extricate myself from the cheese case.

the truffles display made my girlfriend and i go bonkers. we tried champagne truffles and pumpkin spice. sadly though they were no match for teuschers.

<p>I heard Whole Foods is overpriced, but then again so are plenty of other natural food stores (two exceptions that carry a lot of healthy food that I really like are Mother's and Trader Joes). </p>

<p>Since Whole Foods recently acquired Wild Oats, it's been a pretty messy situation, from what I've been reading. Namely, that the FTC is stalling the deal (<a href="http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/08/whole_foodswild.php">http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/08/whole_foodswild.php</a>)</p>

eva, from your foodie posts i can't believe you've never tasted teuschers swiss chocolate!

go to fashion island immediately. the small shop is located in the aisle where the pet store is, near the escalators to mcdonalds/wahoos.

ask to sample their champagne truffle, they usually hand out samples. insert truffle into mouth and enjoy.

just received my Black Cat blend at Intelligentsia speciality coffee roaster. Excellent! This coffee has the most creme I have ever had from my Capresso super automatic machine. Also ordered their Kid'O organic, but I haven't tasted it yet. Highly recommend the Blact Cat.
