Which BBQ Grill is better: cast iron or stainless steel?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
@zero:

Most homes have it on the side or back, usually closest to the kitchen. Those are typically minor quake safe.

But many want to place their BBQ in a different area and have to run the pipe underground.

My landscaper must have used cheap pipe or not enough cushion gravel so it cracked during an earthquake and that is what I am warning about.

They have to use that black pipe.. forgot what it was called.  Black Iron Pipe?

Propane is the way to go?

I'm thinking Propane may be safer for an outside grill.  But does gas-hookup BBQ have higher BTU than a propane?

Sorry as you can see I'm not the one vetting BBQ's in the house.  lol

So what if the BBQ is attached to the nat gas pipe that the builder provided? Is it still dangerous?

I don't think so.. just want the smoke away from the house.  My last place had attached wall so I put the BBQ on the neighbors side of the wall.  ;)
