Yes, also being told that it's the first time this analysis was used didn't help. I'm sure braniacs figured this out and it's probably correct, but I wouldn't want to be told it's so, due to their calculations. The Malaysian government just wanted to say it's over and nothing else to see here. Move on. The correct thing was to say we have new data and analysis that give high probability that the flight ended in the Indian Ocean but we're still doing our best searching for it, without the "end of story" speech.
What happened to that ex-general that was saying on Fox News that he had credible "intelligence" that the plane was hijacked to Pakistan and that we would be hearing more about that in a few days?

At first, I thought all this searching was a smoke screen to distract the terrorists while we got our SEALS in place for a rescue but well... It would have been the perfect weapon though. A loaded passenger jet with innocent people on it flying to Israel or US territory. Don't shoot it down and there's trouble. Shoot it down with all those people on it and there would be trouble. A win-win for the terrorists.
Now, it's less likely that the pilot(s) did it since the path wasn't pre-programmed? The mechanical failure or onboard fire theory is more likely but there seems to be holes in all of these theories.
Why are all these satellite data coming from other than U.S. sources? I'm sure we're sharing data with the Malaysian government.
I really hope they get any evidence of the wreckage soon to at least end all the speculation of what happened to MH370. Then, we can get to why and who.

So it's been declared a crash. People are mad at how the Malaysian government relayed this news.
Some are wondering how much they really knew. I'm wondering how much everyone else really knew and couldn't disclose without revealing what kind of monitoring technology they have in that area.
So sad for all the families and friends of those aboard 370.
