I would think they should be as they got to live in a bigger home than they could afford at 2005/2006 market prices. Socialism is so sweet!
 
Except you don't own the land, UC retains it, and you lease it.



And your rate of return is limited, so if there is another bubble, then you lose out. (which is why the prices in 2005 were under market).

And how is the different from everyone else in SoCal who bought at 10X income using "special" financing?
