Return on Statehood: How Much Value Every State Gets From the Federal Government

Red States Lead With Federal Dependence
Democratic-voting blue states tend to be wealthier and pay more to the federal government than they get. In contrast, Republican-voting red states tend to have less wealth and receive more federal government funds than they pay. In the MoneyGeek rankings, 8 of the 10 most dependent states are considered red states.

Nine states sent more to the federal government than they received ? seven of these were Democrat-voting and had higher per capita GDPs than many of the red states that received the most.

So what you are saying is the richest are paying the MOST taxes?...they're paying their fair share and could use a break?....  I like that argument.

Trump sweeps Election Day, goes 4-0

With his post-election popularity and influence at the highest, the former president?s four endorsed candidates in Tuesday?s elections all won, highlighted by Virginia Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin, the rookie politician who beat lifetime pol Terry McAuliffe.

In Ohio?s 15th Congressional District, Mike Carey was elected to Congress in a special election to succeed former Rep. Steve Stivers. Carey is a former coal lobbyist who Trump picked out of a crowded primary of 11 candidates.

In the general election, Trump issued multiple endorsements of Carey, recorded a robocall, and hosted a telerally to help the Republican beat his Biden-endorsed opponent.

Trump also scored in the race for borough president of Staten Island, New York. He backed Vito Fossella 48 hours before the primary election in June. In the general election, he also taped a robocall, and Fossella won big last night 60%-30%.

In his victory speech, Fossella repeatedly thanked Trump and told supporters, ?Tell President Trump what Staten Island thinks of what he has done!?

In the mayor?s race for Hialeah, Florida, Trump endorsed Esteban ?Steve? Bovo, who avoided a runoff, winning 59% of the vote against a former mayor of Hialeah.

Jack told Secrets, ?In 2020, his record in congressional special and primary elections was 120-2, and last night, he was 4-0 in general elections in Virginia, Ohio, New York, and Florida. Results don?t lie.?

Teacher Who Quit After January 6 Photo Emerged Gets Elected to School's Board

A teacher who resigned after a photo emerged of him at the January 6 riot at the Capitol has won a seat on a school committee in Massachusetts.

Matthew Lynch, 35, won one of three seats on the Braintree school board committee after getting 2,319 votes, according to unofficial results.

Lynch taught at Braintree High School for more than 10 years before leaving in February after images of him standing in front of the Capitol building on January 6 were posted on social media.

What's happening to the Republicans?...is exciting!!

Haven't been to the grocery store in a while cuz it's just me and the hubby and I'm a stocker upper person when things are on sale so I don't buy that much but we needed some meat and veges.

Went with the hubby and I had to ask him if the price on the package of meat (NOT THAT MUCH MEAT and not a high quality cut) was over $25.

So............. that is what we're upset about. The price of groceries, gas, rent (if we're renters with expiring leases).

No wonder people are stealing things at the grocery store. :(

Is this one of your Covid Pychosis posts? From what I understand, the Republican candidate distanced themselves from Trump which analysts are saying helped them get those victories.

But to be fair, I heard Biden say that if the bill had passed, results would have been different... I don't agree. You know there would be backlash... that's just how it is, squeaky wheel gets the grease.

New Governor-Elect of Virginia Glenn Youngkin had a fruit basket sent to the RINO?s over at The Lincoln Project according to one of his top aides.
