The only one of those that I've seen was over at the Pick-up-Stix off Alton and Jeffery.
They removed the one at the Pick Up Stix on Alton. I can understand why, for most newbs... it's not an easy machine to use... I bounce around all over the place trying different combinations and the person behind me will get cross-eyed.

The first time I saw one of these was at Sam's Club in Irvine... I think they have something like this at the Edwards in the Spectrum too.

i was just craving some Reese's mini peanut butter cups so i got the bag out from the pantry and im pretty sure i just finished half of it.  i always fall for these marketing tricks. i get the mini version of things thinking that its better to kill a craving then i eat more than if i would have just bought a regular two pack of regular size peanut butter cups! I hate you Hershey Company!
That's EXACTLY why I don't buy those mini bags of Dove chocolates from Albertsons to get my chocolate fix.  If I'm craving them enough I'll pick up stick of 5 pieces they sell at the gas stations.

Btw, thanks for the referral....got them into escrow with some wheeling and dealing pretty well (Matt told us today it passed with flying colors).  Dinner is on me for all of us once we close.

I can think of 2 other Irvine'ish locations with these machines. Pei Wei in the District has one. So does Rubio's in The Marketplace.

They got rid of the one at Rubio's in the Marketplace recently...much to my son's dismay. He really enjoyed making his creative concoctions of flavored water.
Oh no... :'(

This looks really good now, especially on these two shower days.

I've been craving a good chili fries for a while now.

Since Irvine doesn't have a greasy spoon diner... it's really hard to escape the house to get one.

Co-worker recommended this place
http://www.yelp.com/biz/albatros-lake-forest

weird name, think they're trying to be mistaken for "albertos" and looks it from far away.. anyways.. good carne asada fries (not chili, but pretty close)...

the chili at Tommy pastrami's is pretty good too.. they're next to Fukada

Heh... been to Albatross a few times... and yes... it's an Alberto's knock off... it's also the scene of a late-night homicide a year or so ago (Lake Forest is scary... oooooo). But right across the street is The Hat... which has good chili fries (and pastrami)... but still not "in Irvine".

Actually... they have Chili Fries now... but the problem is their chili is very soupy so it ends up being very messy... it's not the decadent chili you see at burger joints.

Del Taco might come close... and I like their crinkle cut fries.

Flavorful beer from the local Bevmo, goes great with al pastor (pineapple marinade) tacos from Jalape?os, get the crispy ones, they will make it despite the menu.

You sure know your food  ;)

I'm not a curry person but I did eat here many years ago (I think BK... before kids) and the spaghetti was okay.

Looking at the menu, what about the other dishes that use a garlic sauce, a teriyaki sauce or a straight gravy... are those good? I wouldn't mind some katsu with gravy... Hawaiian style!
