Weekday bedtime and time to get up...

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I'm curious what time you guys head to bed during the work week and what time you guys get up? I normally go to bed around 12-1am (I'm a nightowl) and get up around 6am most days to check to see if there are any good day trading opportunities before heading off to work at 8:30am. I catch up on my lost sleep by sleeping in on the weekends.

In bed by about 10:00 pm, asleep about 11:00pm. Up at 6:00 am and out the door at 7:00am. The later it is in the school year, the later I go to bed and the less sleep I get. This contributes to teacher burnout BTW. Boy, that was actually more intrusive of a question than anything that ever came from Panda or RC. But at least it wasn't in some crazy poll and I could answer it clearly. Goodnight all!

What can I say, I'm a curious soul and not a big fan of those Panda and RC polls (they are either incomplete or too complicated).

I'm a nightowl too. I've been trying to train myself to go to bed before 11 pm. Mr. M80 is an early riser and doesn't like the Mrs'. late night IHB activity. 6am, yikes SC! I sleep in until the very last minute (7-7:30ish) before the I have to shower and rush off to drive the kiddies to school. True story, while in college I worked a few Nordstrom sales where I had to be at work at 5am. I would have never made it if it were not for my sweet husband who would wake up before me, make coffee, and practically IV it into me while I lay in a daze. I wish I could go to my office from 6pm to 2am.

10:30 - 11pm to bed. 6am wake up. 8am in the office. Inhale lunch at desk over ESPN and IHB.com. Leave office 5:15pm. Dinner, then bathe/homework/read to child until 8pm. Generally back online for work more from 8:30 - 10:30pm. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Anybody seen that Kia commercial with the hamsters? Doesn't the opening sequence where the garage door opens look like Irvine? For some reason reading what I typed above, thought about that commercial.

I had to start work at 6am when my dad used to drag my ass off to construction sites out with him in the IE during my high school summers (get up at 5am and sleep in the car while he drove) those were rough summers. If not for the quest to squirrel away a few extra bucks for that bungalow and having to get up for work I'd be dead asleep until noon. Believe it or not, but I have never drank a drop of coffee but if things get serious I will down a can of Mountain Dew or Monster for some assistance (desperate situations call for desperate measures). I do sleep like 8-10 hours a day on weekends (when I don't have those damn CPA review courses at 8am on Saturdays). I'd love to stroll in at 2pm to the office after the stock market closes and finish up lunch but they kinda want us there 8-9am, bastids!

It takes you two hours from the time you get up to get into the office, what the heck? In extreme panic mode, I can get up at 8:20am and still get to work by 9am. Yeah, I feel ya on those hamster commercials, definitely feel like one sometimes.

Here's my routine:

Wake-up: 6am

Shower and make breakfast: 6am-6:30am

Watch CNBC: 6:30am-8:30am

Get to work: 9am

Leave work: 6pm

Dinner: 7ish

CPA Study time (since April): 8pm-10pm

Gym: 10pm-11pm

Fall asleep on coutch: 12am-1am

and repeat

Dang... you can bust the manly 3-SHes in that much time?

I can probably cut an SH out but that's pushing it.

[quote author="Mcdonna1980" date=1243951634]okay, midnight bedtime for tonight. Night</blockquote>
That was early, must be because it's been quite on IHB lately.

I go to bed at around 9:30 pm. If I run in the morning, I get up at 4:30 am to go running. If I don't run, I get up at 5:30-5:45 am.

I go to Bed when I'm tired and get up when I wake up, the only exception is a group ride which I do once or twice a week to Laguna and back, we roll at 8am so I have to be up by 7...

Every morning is like a Saturday morning.

[quote author="earthbm" date=1243989633]Peter what line of work are you in? I dig.</blockquote>

I was waiting for someone to ask, now I can post the downside...I'm an Engineer and work 50+ hrs a week....mine is a very stressful job and when "normal" People are out enjoying themselves in the evenings, including Saturdays, I'm at work...and sometimes Sundays too.

Having said that, I got to choose my own work schedule and I really like my hours...off to chill at the Coffee shop now w friends before going into work...

I used to be Bus Driver but got tired of People talking behind my back
