Villages of Irvine Survey

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
[quote author="irvine_home_owner" date=1236241494]Yeah... I was impressed by whatever survey service they used. You can click on images/plans to enlarge them and they gave you photo examples of features they were referring to.

I was half-expecting a message from bk to pop out and say "I know that's you , IHO!".

Crap... that is what you get for hiring cheap programmers. Next time the pop up will happen, and the programmers will make sure a giant 25 car garage pops up just for you. My pop up will have a lift and a urinal in the garage, a large lot, and a pony room. They will know how to make sure they hit home next year.

Graph,

You can buy the model home that already has the handicap bathroom set up in the garage. The builder would love to leave it for you and save $$ for not retrofitting. However a pony room that would require a specialist. Will the Pony room be G-rated?

I just took this survey from TIC as well. How much fun was that!!?? Who would have thought that Orchard Hills style street lights will cost you 7 points?! I had to trade a tot lot just to make sure I got those pretty lights...

A pony room? Graph, you've gone over to the dark side! Don't you know that they will use that room to launch their invasion? Resistance is futile...

Hehe... when it got down to 50 points (I think it went that low)... you can only add 3 or 4 optional things. Tot Lot was always first priority... followed by a basketball court.

Daddy and the kids gots to play somewhere... we know the backyard is going to be tiny.

The money TIC spent on the survey could have paid for all the lamp posts without point penalty. I am not affliated with any survey or other research programs. The surveys and consumer research are job protections for TIC survivors when nothing is being built at this point.

That survey is still on my mind... in the design your own community exercise... they gave you 3 REQUIRED elements that you could choose two levels for:

1. Street design:

a. Free - No grass curb bumper

b. Cost - Grass curb bumper

For the 150 pts, I chose b, but once they took away points... I chose a.

2. Lighting:

a. Free - Basic street lights

b. Cost - Upgraded lights (like in Woodbury)

I chose b for all 3 levels.

3. Village Marker/Monuments

a. Free - Basic (like Westpark II)

b. Cost - High towers like Woodbury and Portola Springs

Again... I chose b for all 3 point levels.

So are those what TIC starts with when they design a neighborhood? Street/sidewalk, lighting and neigborhood markers?

Shouldn't they be asking more about how big your garage should be and where it should placed... in the front or in the back ala bk-style (oooo... double entendre).
