So I didn't buy from them because...

Lowes will generally match online prices.

Lowes includes free ship and white glove installation.

I echo these sentiments. We got absolute bargains through Lowe's after finding deals online, Lowe's then price matched and then beat those prices by 10%, which negated those sites which saved sales tax. Better yet, next day (if not same day delivery, depending on the circumstances) and a local place to go if I ran into any troubles. Highly highly recommend Lowes. They seem to be one of the few retailers with significant wiggle room to negotiate on appliances too. 

So Lowe's would match US-appliance prices on appliances and then beat them by 10%?  Hmmm, that's interesting.  I'll try that in the near future as I need to remodel my kitchen.

The site I price matched was a different site, but similar in that it wasn't a mainstream site (or at least I don't think it was). It was something like applianceconnection.com or something like that. I found it through various google / yahoo shopping searches and it happened to have the cheapest appliances on all of my stuff.  We were working with the manager there and he did mention that they have some discretion in what retailers they will match from, however, I've never had any problems with the Lowes over in the Marketplace when it comes to them matching and beating.

Home depot on the other hand (again Marketplace location) is the worst. I bought a toilet from there and it didn't have all of the parts on it so I brought it back to get the new parts and they wanted to charge me a restocking fee to take that box back and give me a new box. I told them, all I want was the parts that were supposed to come with it. They told me I should have inspected the box before leaving...at that point I made a scene so other customers could hear how stupid their comment was. Basically said, so you are telling me when I make any purchase here, I should open it up and check all of the parts prior to exiting..blah blah blah. Long story short, I will not shop at Home Depot unless I have to. 

You can also use competitor coupons too (if you happened to have any). Although I think often times the coupon's aren't stackable.

Lowes let me price match my washer/dryer and use the 10% off coupon.  For my refrigerator, the price match was really low so they would not give me the extra 10% off.  So I guess it just depends.

Baller?  Nah.  My kitchen is still stuck in the 90s...need to bring into the present.  haha
