Heck there are many men that are not interested. A coworker of mine recently started looking and I was shocked at how little he knew. I had to teach him about saving searches on redfin so that he could receive email notifcations. I guess the average joe and jane are just not that interested!

I guess the only thing I would have done differently is pick out the flooring and carpet sooner...they both took about a week to get in stock so I could have shaved 2 weeks off the remodeling time frame.irvinehomeowner said:Because the Princesses get scared away?SoCal78 said:Why exactly ARE most of the members guys?
I think the IHB had a large female contingent... but I think by and large... just the Internet itself is more male. I'm sure there are other forums that are more female dominated like a fashion board or a mommy advice one.
And I'm not sure us guys are as bad as inmates... maybe some of us... hehe.
Back OT:
@USC: Is there anything you would do differently?
Thank you and I'm glad to share the story with the same folks that made it all possible for me to make the home purchase. When you see something that you like, jump on it quickly and just keep positive would be my advice.iphb said:Congratulations, USCTrojanCPA! Great story and thanks for sharing it with us. It's even brought some inspiration to this off and on home shopper to persevere a bit in this day and age of short sales predominating the housing market. Of course right now is particularly interesting with the low inventory and high demand chasing it.
Not sure if you mentioned this already but who did you choose for your flooring? If I recall correctly, USCDad is retired.USCTrojanCPA said:I guess the only thing I would have done differently is pick out the flooring and carpet sooner...

Fair enough.
There is always a bright side: The men of TI have provided me with more than adequate training so that I will be able to handle the county jail inmate population with great ease in the coming months. Nothing shocks me anymore.
