Gotti didn't ask for a top twenty. I think my second fav. DL album is "High and Dry".

I have a serious CD fetish. I think I counted someting like 1600 discs. I'm always looking to expand my collection, so if you know somebody who's dumping thier CD collection, send me a PM. That said, I'll try to post a real list later, but with that much stuff, it's T-O-U-G-H.

That's awfully humble of you to not list one of your own.

[quote author="SoCal78" date=1226103709]Am I the only person who doesn't "get" Pink Floyd? Must be an acquired taste.</blockquote>

If you are interested in "getting" it, I'd highly recommend listening to David Gilmour's guitar work on Comfortably Numb (from The Wall). In my opinion, it's one of the finest pieces of guitar work ever created.

10. The Charlatans UK

8. Bauhaus

7. Blondie

6. Sneaker Pimps(Post Micki)

5. The Smiths

4. Portishead

I haven't seen anyone post any beatles/stones yet. Anyone for Sargent Pepper?

BTW, Pink Floyd is awesome. The Wall has got to be one of the best albums of all time and the movie is nothing to be sneezed at.

The first live concert I've ever attended was an "Adam and the Ants" show back when I was in jr. high. It was so cool, the open act was a then unknown band I thought was pronounced "inks" (i.e. INXS) that got booed off the stage. My tastes in music hasn't evolved much since the 80s.

DAVE BRUBECK - Take Five

Steeley Dan - Aja

Al Jarreau - Breakin Away

Michael Franks - Sleeping Gypsy

Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti

Yardbirds - The Yardbirds

Cream - Disraeli Gears

Buffalo Springfield

Stevie Ray Vaughn - The Sky Is Crying (posthumous compilation)

Robert Johnson (legendary blues man) - Cross Road Blues

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew

Dick Dale - Tribal Thunder

Stevie Wonder - Fulfillingness' First Finale

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother & Wish You Were Here (tied)

To truly appreciate it, you have to listen to The Wall all the way through. In fact, I think I'm going to do that with the live version from "Is there anybody out there" tonight.
