Toll Roads

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Pieology is Subway does pizza.  Pizza studio is slightly better but still the same Subway concept.  Creations pizza is better yet, same concept but executed more like Chipotle

And yes Chipotle is just Subway does Amer-Mexican gone granola and taught to scale by mcD.

And yes I eat chipotle. I just know what it is.

And yes I didn't build any one of those but commend all of them for successfully building a beautiful trough for the giant American consumer herd to come throw their money in.

I'm starting to hate Chipotle. They raised the prices recently. I like the taste of the food, but the service suckS.

Do Toll road officials realize how stupid they are when they raise tolls to raise more money and then complain that not enough people are taking the toll roads? My work puts me in a position to take the roads every day. Depending on traffic, some days I will, but most days I won't. If they reduce the rates a bit, I know I'll be much more likely to take the toll roads more frequently. Raise them, and I'll be that much less likely. I hardly think I'm the only one who feels this way.

Lower the rates, and make it up in volume!

I live in Portola Springs and would love to eat / shop / watch movies in Foothill Ranch regularly but the toll is over $2.00 each way to drive the mile from Portola to Alton. In San Diego they charge variable tolls based on where you got on and got off and that would have be $0.50.

Or just connect Portola Pkwy of Irvine to Portola Pkwy of Foothill Ranch .. But I guess the Toll Road would definitely lobby against it :)

I don't understand this...what service are expecting at Chiptole?

Maybe his old Chipotle had a massage parlor in the back with a "me suck you long time" attitude.

I first ordered a burrito bowl and told them what type of rice and meat. Meanwhile, I'm telling the other worker what I want on my second order which is a burrito. In the middle of me telling them what I want for the burrito, the other worker is yelling screaming/giving me attitude, asking me type of sauces I want for the burrito bowl.

Note: it's only like five seconds delay, do they expect me to run to the other side to tell them what type of sauce or can they wait for five seconds.

I turned in my transponders earlier this week
Don't you want to keep them for just in case? We have transponders but only use them maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

Don't need the transponder for that anymore.  You can register a credit card with the toll roads people and they'll take the toll from that account when you go through.  The new system takes pictures of your license plates.
Been taking the toll road more often lately, someone may correct me, but I believe it's cheaper if you use the transponder rather than the license plate system.

But you don't need the actual transponder in the car. They just read my plate and I still pay the account rate.

Yeah, happened to me several times.  Same $ rate, guess when they say maintain speed going thru, they don't mean 70mph.  Lol

I think registering for the toll road with plate <> having a transponder account, for people who pre planned and called ahead w/o getting fined

We have a transponder in each car in the armrest in case we ever decide to use the tollroad for something. Because we don't use it enough we do get hit with the 2/month Maintenance fee.

This is where I am confused.

You don't need the transponder but you can still get the Fastrak discount if you have an account with Toll Roads Inc (or whatever their name is)?

I thought you had to use the transponder to get the discount.

Not 100% clear on the distinctions. I have a fastrak account linked to my license plates and also have transponders. I don't keep the transponders in the car and still get the discount.

You have to have the transponder but if you forget to take it out and put it on your windshield you still get the $1 discount. They claim they will address the situation if you never ever put it out.
