The who is a troll on IHB poll

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
No topics have really interested me in a while. I wasn't trolling, of course that's my opinion, also i think your definition of troll, while correct, differs from the definition of troll assumed by the author of this post.

I wasn't trolling because what you were saying didn't make sense.

This W Trash guy makes me want to change my nick to Oriental_Redneck, or something like that. Here, let me paint my Honda orange with a Californian flag on top. Dukes of Irvine!

Anyways, the stuff he posts is immature but not hardcore trolling. I've known real trolls who are good at pushing the right buttons and getting everyone pissed. He's just an attention wh0re.

Ahem, "Webster's dictionary defines a troll here."

BTW, that's also how I started all of my essays while fixin' to get my G.E.D., which may explain my career path.

Stay in skool, kids.

Mmmm... I should have been more specific with blog or forums. Tempting, very tempting though.

i dont know if this is already being done, but requiring approval before someone can register on the forums might weed out some potential trolls from ever joining the forums to begin with. even something as simple as a few questions or "why do you want to join this forum?" might end up for spammers and trolls not worth the time to fill out.

this is pretty standard on many forums now.

The moderator in most cases closed the Troll Poll or Troll Posts immediately. Very seldom do we see such a closely monitoring for a site. Other members have also embarrassed the Trolls so much that their purpose of spams were a wasted effort. They may come back with a new identity but the leopards still have their spots. They are not worth the time to restructuring the sign up procedure and requirement. Besides members enjoy beating up on them to take out their day of frustration from work. I think it is quite therapeutic in abusing trolls.

It can be difficult to separate the trolls from people with honest differences of opinion. If efforts to exclude the former also exclude the latter, the board quickly deteriorates into an echo chamber of groupthink.

what i mean is have some questions that need to be answered at the registration. questions that require real, typed answers. why do you want to join? what neighborhoods in irvine are your favorite? it can be anything but the simple fact that something has to be typed out can be a deterrent, but the actual content is irrelevant.

same goes for email verification. if you have to set up another email acct, answer some questions, register, wait for verification, just for the purposes of trolling a forum, maybe its not worth the time.

Trolls and Perma Bulls are fair game on IHB. IMHO

But finding anyone still on the Kool-Aid is getting tough.

Even over on Lansners OC Register Blog. Bulls are a dying breed.

They have all been killed with a sabre in the bullring.....

hey i'm all for troll-baiting. i dont ignore anyone and enjoy the entertainment they provide. sort of like scam-baiters who pretend to go along with those nigerian 409 scams and trick the scammers into doing ridiculous tasks like rewriting an entire harry potter book by hand.

just threw out an idea in case the mods wanted a way to control the influx of trolls.
