Did the SeaWorld thing and had to have sushi for dinner
Sushi Ota did not disappoint with over 2000 yelps it is indeed the best sushi in the SD area. Chirashi and sushi dinner above were decent but not a wow. At $30 a piece it was a tad expensive. Simpli Sushi in Industry gave me three pieces of chu toro at $28 along with lots of other sashimis. Best dish of the night gotta be the yellowtail kama (collar). It was grilled/toasted perfectly with crispy skin.. Clearly one of the best cooked piece of fish I've had in awhile. Asahi draft (goodbye 30 day diet) was also surprisingly crisp and dare I say sweet. Never had a decent Asahi until now. Perfect pour with half inch head.
