[quote author="freedomCM" date=1238208655][quote author="usctrojanman29" date=1238204643][quote author="bltserv" date=1238129400]There is NOTHING but commercial property around this area.

The Stadium, All the tile shops on State College, and Disneyland.

The "Fritz Too" Strip bar is close by on Katella. Thats a good local culture spot.

And the view of the HUGE empty lot across the street. Priceless. Thanks Lennar.

I have a great idea for that dirt lot of shattered hopes...build a football stadium on it and bring So Cal an NFL team back.</blockquote>

Much better: MONSTER TRUCK RALLY!!!!!!!!!

Or maybe dairy farm? Then it would smell just like Chino and NoVas would feel at home</blockquote>

You may not believe this: I dislike cows, and I dislike dairymen more!

[quote author="kperez" date=1238210683]I wonder how many people will wait n line for this tomorrow?</blockquote>

An article in the OC register said they expect 90 people and they are going to have karaoke to keep them entertained.

We need a new rent vs. buy calculator for these buyers that factors in the cost of having to spend the night on the streets to buy your home.

When you see their ads, it's way more party oriented then family oriented.

They play up the fact that they are by many hot spots like Gardenwalk and the block.</blockquote>
Those two reasons would actually discourage me from buying a unit there. Both places have become teenage gangstar hangouts.</blockquote>

I wouldn't worry much about teenage gangsters ponying up $375,000 for a 1200 sq. ft. 2-bedroom condo. :P

.</blockquote>
USC, didn't say they lived there.

[quote author="joostfan" date=1238231552]I stopped by to see how many ppl lined up. I would say about 50 people camping out.</blockquote>
People actually camping out for this overpriced lofts? Wow, just more proof that there are idiots even in this environment.

But, there's karaoke.

Just like the "event" last summer! One born every minute...

Many people in their 20's have basically never seen a house that wasn't overpriced.

45 of them worked for The Lofts.

Wow, these two quotes are too funny...people can be so gullible.

"I like this area. It's close to my school, there's a gym and a Subway (restaurant)," he said. "It would be a great place to live."

So I guess if there is a gym and Subway then it is a great place to live. haha

"We figure the good news is if this developer is offering great prices like this, then other developers are soon to follow."

Ya think??? Is this such a great deal because the marketing told you so or because the $250k off the OMG WTF price to a still overpriced condo unit makes it a great price? haha Maybe you guys should wait a few years and pick an REO up in the complex in the next 2-3 years for another $100k+ off.

I dont even think you'll have to wait for an REO to get another 100k off in this place. I will not be surprised if some of the final ones they try to get rid of make that one.

But dang....that explains why people try to live close to Irvine Center Drive and Culver. That place has both a gym and a subway! WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF EACH OTHER!!!!!

"Those near the front of the line this morning were elated, actually jumping around when House of Pain's "Jump Around" blared through the speakers just before the office opened at 10 a.m."

House of Pain the soundtrack for a home buying event? Now that's funny.

Maybe people should actually go to the ushomeauction.com website when they see an infomercial for it, and <a href="http://www.auction.com/property.php?auctionID=H-071&itemID=91339&venueId=521&start=0&flgRemoved=0">check to see if there is a home in the complex they are thinking about buying before they buy</a>.

Even at $139k, there is no f'ing grocery store any where near this place.

[quote author="graphrix" date=1235575502]I heard on KROQ today they are having some contest where if you win, you get a year of living in the Stadium lofts. Sounds like they need someone there to turn the lights on.</blockquote>

That's a pretty crazy story. She definitely needs to get some real media attention to expose this scam. Unbelievable that she is supposed to pay taxes on a gift that is so incredibly over-inflated in price. There's got to be a way for her to prove to the government that this "prize" is not worth anywhere near the value placed on it.

The fact that people are still camping out for RE shows the bottom isn't even close. And 50 people camped out to buy less than the 40 of the 60 units? Not sure what the point was to camp out, but maybe they were all homeless people and it sounded appealing to them. 50 campers should have translated into at least 500 sales.
