Should I Stay or Should I Go?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
[quote author="graphrix" date=1247324616]Since I don't live in Irvine, I thought a staycation to one of the Irvine Targets would be fun. I hear it is the cool thing to do. But... which Target? Decisions, decisions. You know... I have never been inside the Target in the District. Oh... oh... something new! Eh, wait, the District is not in Irvine, it is in Tustin. Bleh... Tustin is for losers. Looks like the coolness of the Spectrum Target is the winner. Yea! Maybe I can ride the Ferris wheel too. I dunno if I will have time, so busy... so much to do... maybe a little Home Depot, but maybe I can squeeze in a trip in the faded orange balloon. Anyone else notice that it isn't as bright as it used to be? I'm sure they will add in the brighten the orange of the orange balloon cost into the Mello Roos bonds for the homes at El Toro. We all know Lennar ain't payin for that sh*t.</blockquote>

I've been driving my kid to summer camp in Irvine everyday, I feel like I've already been to a foreign country this summer.

I don't really have any planned vacations this summer, except for a couple weekend getaways. We're driving all the way to San Onofre to camp for a few nights and I'm going to San Francisco on a weekend trip to visit friends. That's it. I usually schedule my vacations for the fall or spring (after spring break) because I don't have kids yet and prefer to go at off peak times.

[quote author="Mcdonna1980" date=1247292951]All traveling this year will be in Cali. So far we done 3 weekend trips to San Diego, Rancho Mirage, and Coronado. Will probably do a few others by year end, too. My husband getting his MBA in a program with very short breaks so we can't go far. We are saving up for a long vacation in Spain when he is done with his classes. :)

I love traveling through California so stayactions are fine with me.</blockquote>

Okay, I lied. All this talk of travel as of late has really got me pumped up to hit up some uncharted land. Plus with the passing of my children's 10th and 12th birthday this month it's really starting to sink in how little time I have left with them. So, we decided on two in weeks in Costa Rica in December. I know a few on here have gone so please pass on any suggestions.

We would like to stay in an all inclusive resort if anyone knows of a good one.

How is that possible, McD? You look SO young! Either you got an early start or you just look young for your age... if so, what's your secret?

:red: You two just made my day! I use this stuff religiously and wear hats. I'm starting to see a few wrinkles so I'll be sporting those Asian lady long white gloves while I drive in no time. I'm terrified of knifes so I'm doing everything I can now.

[quote author="SoCal78" date=1247639379]So, 1980 is not your year of birth after all??</blockquote>

1980 only marks the year of the greatest decade of music ever! I love eighties music and dancing. So much that I enjoyed a short career as a Madonna circa 1980 impersonator who made appearance in LA nightclubs. I picked Mcdonna1980 to represent one of my funniest and most spontaneous moments of my life. Plus, I think channeling Madonna through me helps with the anti aging process. Talk about rocking it at 50. Gawd, I hope I look that good then.

Funny, I too thought that Mcdonna1980 had her first kid when she was 17.

I'll try and dig up an old photo of me as Madonna. We didn't have digital back then so i'd have to employ someone tech savvy to post it.

But back to my orginal question. Costa Rica were should I stay? Any recommendations of things to do? Help, I got lock this down before hubby changes his mind.

Since this thread has been derailed a few times already, I will derail it once more. Vicstah sent me this video as an all time classic from BMW Films. I couldn't help but think of Mcdonna1980 when I watched it this time.

BTW, I have driven that M5, and the torque it has will create the g-force to knock your a$$ back and cling to the seat just like the video shows. In fact, I did 120mph in that car... in 2nd gear, and the lunge to 3rd gear was the reason why I had to go to the chiropractor a few days later.

By this time next week, i'll be sitting on the beach in Waikiki, having a pina colada and soaking in the sun.. hmmmmmmmmmmm
