However, in US, customers will tolerate $500 price tag on an iPad, but few will buy $500 shoes. This is why you see upscale shoe brands like Allan Edmonds staying below the $500 magic number. The brand is popular enough that you can find used Allan Edmonds shoes on Ebay selling for $100. The Korean shoe repair guy will charge less for repairs than the Allan Edmonds store in South Coast Plaza.
