If you like xiaolongbao, then this is your place. It's been open for a month and is located in a strip mall near Irvine Blvd / Newport--next to 85C bakery. XLB choices include: ground pork, pork & shrimp, and pork with chili sauce ($8-$9.5 for 6). The quality is similar to Ding Tai Fung but it has more soup. The chili sauce version could use more spice but still tasty. The beef rolls were also delicious.
It does get busy but not crazy like DTF. Service was okay (a little short staffed like most places) and interior was modern, bright and open. They don't take reservations and there is an iPad out front. I would definitely go back and try other dishes.
